being Intrepid...

in the way of truth and justice, why is it seen as a threat?

Re: being Intrepid...

Peace

The truth is naked ... lies are clothes ... pity no one realises that it is hot out there or they would try to dress as thinly as possible.

I think it is a self-deluded but natural position for people to try to protect themselves from being given the pointed finger, usually the people who lie will be the ones who have something to hide to prevent themselves from incrimination. it comes down to ego, and self-preservation and benefit that leads to deceit.

Truth leaves everything bare ... a metaphor for this can be seen in the case of Adam (AS) and Eve (AS) ... they became offenders by disobeying, then they hid and they became naked, the truth was out and they tried to hide it by the leaves. The covering up of their parts is like us covering up our transgressions, making excuses for ourselves, it puts us into a state of self-delusion and removes our innocence. The fact is the more we cover up the more clearer it becomes that we are telling lies.

Innocence therefore is borne of truth. The threat in this is that the truth teller may end up taking our clothes away!!!

Re: being Intrepid...

true, brother psyah.
bare truth from the get go is better than a deceit which leaves a very bad impression, disapppointingly and sadly very culpable.

Truth is difficult. An effort must be made to remain consistent. This is our battle...like many others.
