How it feels to be an older one among your sibling/s?Does it feel more like a responsilibity, as you would have to compromise on many of your wishes just for your sibling’s sake?Like i know few friends of mine who wanted to pursue higher studies but couldn’t because they wanted their siblings to get good education so they would spend most of their earnings on their siblings’ education.Likewise,you would have to compromise on other things in life, considering your younger siblings’ well-being. Right or wrong? How you feel being an older/younger one among your siblings?

Being older one, we must make ourself a good example among our sibling. We must struggle hard enough and achieve the goals so we can support with our parents, shoulder to shoulder as helping hand towards our sibling. I have seen many olders sacrifie there future career to provide good education to their siblings. However, i have seen such olders too who continued their studies and pursuade their goals while helping them. Older among sibling is like Father/Mother. Older must play such role beacuse they have seen more springs in life rather then their sibling have seen. They also have wide experience which will be benificial in support on siblings.
Being older or younger one among our siblings will doesn't make much difference because tomarrow that older or younger means everybody will act like big brother, sister, father, mother, grand-father, grand-mother etc. No doubt he/she will also go through the same way.

bein the youngest u get wottevr u want .. but then im the only daughter .. but thaa never affected my bro neither his studies .. but i alwayz wished i had a sister ..

Older kids are more prone to experimentation like parents are still trying to figure out how to be parents.I am not very responsible as an older sister. My mom dad expect me to help out my younger brother in studies. i dont ,i believe that would only make him dependent and he needs to be responsible.

**i'm #5 and the youngest among the brothers. since i lived in a village up until age 14 and being the youngest, i was always asked to do the odd things outside the house, like bringing wood, bringing coal, fetch water if the guy waterman didn't show up, take wheat to the flour mill, carry baggage of guests to/from train station while my older brother was assigned all the good jobs like going to the city to buy stuff that we couldn't get in the village [he would have ice cream and watch movie in the city] :( my life as a child was kinda miserable lol...
...as an adult now, since i don't have to do tha hard jobs like i did back then, i enjoy!**

I,m a younger sibling and got to be general dogsbody at home...always following others orders.....
hubby is the youngest in his house,and was spoilt rotten...

I agree that, there is more experimentation with the older child as compared to other children. I don’t get away with half as much as my sister did

I'm one of the oldest and I can say that I definitely have a lot more responsibilities than my younger siblings, there is also more experimentation ..............but on the plus side I tend to have more control and influence over my parents then my younger siblings :D
I never had to sacrifice my education or career goals
