Begging for talks and ceasefire

Why United States doing this, why why why........when they had clearly said in 2001 that hum tumhen mitti mai mila dain gy....

Anyways the news from the centre is.. In one on one meeting, the US officals requested Taliban to announce ceasefire for next 6 months...but taliban representatives asked them to release their prisoners and leave afghanistan izaat sy and do not look back.

Omar giving interview to voice of America on 26th September 2001 said :

"I am considering two promises. One is the promise of ALLAH, the other is that of George Bush. The promise of ALLAH is that my land is vast. If you start a journey on ALLAH's path, you can reside anywhere on this earth and will be protected... The promise of George Bush is that there is no place on earth where you can hide that i cannot find you. We will see which one of these two promises is fulfilled".

Dear Pakistani Prince, you are being delusional. Please stop and be objective in your assessment of the world. 17 years on US remains the most powerful country in the world, and Afghanistan one of the most beleaguered. The common man in Pakistan and Afghanistan has suffered enormously. We had close to a hundred thousand people dead, bombs blowing off our markets and schools. Millions of refugees and a whole border that was otherwise peaceful has turned hostile. To the degree that we don know where to focus our defense efforts, at western or at eastern border.
If the impact of this war was not disastrous enough, think of the repercussions of withdrawal. Any destabilization of Afghan government would mean more efforts by Taliban and other groups to gain territory. THis would mean more bloodshed, that would eventually spill onto our territory. This would also mean Afghan government looking for more support from India, making Indian presence even stronger and Kabul more hostile.

I am baffled at these claims of apparent victory!!!
