Before your Labor and Delivery or actually before leaving for the hospital, did you guys get everything organized at home, or did you just left leaving home as it is. Suppose you are expecting no help after you have the baby, how would you prepare for the time after you come back home. Especially about food. Im 34 weeks along Alhamdulillah. Im having panic attacks now since I wont have any help after I have my baby. My hubby dunt like food from outside and eats homemade food. I am planning to cook and freeze a lot of stuff before going into labor. So its not very hard on me after I come home with the baby. Hubby is really caring and I know he wont force me to cook but still I wud want to get him something to eat when he comes from work and ofcourse I ll need to eat something too during the day. Please share your experiences or any advices would be appreciated ![]()
Re: Before the Labor & Delivery
i cooked and froze some food but you can only freeze so much :)
I also did not have any help but my husband cooks food sometimes too.
The frozen food only lasted so many days. I did have lots of packets of naan and roti as I could not and did not wanted to make rotis. Also had some of those ready made food packets.
I am not agreat cook but I think making rice dishes are the easiest. Whenever I am in a hurry I make matar pulao aur chana pulao aur tehri. When I make rice, I make enough to last atleast 2 times.
Re: Before the Labor & Delivery
I spent the last month preparing and freezing semi-prepared / prepared food each time except for the time when my daughter was born, she surprised us by appearing in 32nd week while other three have been late comers :)
I washed my home inside out including curtains etc. prepared loads of food n tried to manage laundry till the minute i left for hospital. My main concern was food since we were in Berlin at that time n didn't get many halal options. Besides hubby isn't really fond of food from outside. We often joke with each other how i marinated alot of fish one evening, went to hospital in the night had our youngest in the morning, came home, baked fish n had our yummy lunch. :)
Allah does help those who help themselves. :)
