Salam all,
I have heard that a lot of textile mills producing bedsheet sets for export also sell the rejected ‘maal’ in pakistani shops, can anyone tell me where I can find this type of stuff? I got some awesome bedsheet sets 5 years ago thru a friend of a friend whose aunt sold these sets abroad and both the friend and her friend have relocated and are no longer in pakistan. Any and all help would be appreciated. Thanks guppies

so please dont buy into propagandas.
the good thing is that you tried the sheets and you liked their look and feel.
this is ain-al-yakeen. and that is your best honest source of first hand knowledge.

Dushwari, this is not propaganda... this came from someone who works in a textile mill, American companies like macy's and all are very particular and the slightest off in colors means shipment gets rejected.
And incase you are wondering why I didn't ask that person itself, because I do not have their contact info, met them very briefly at a wedding...

fine, then who cares about whose colors bleed more or not.
have you ever seen American products, they are good as well. they should be used. American Eagle is a brand. why do we insist on importing things then, when we have issues with what we get from other countries?
the point is that even if such stringent expectations in business are the tools with which someone is cheated on their accounts payable, as a country.

seriously all i wanted was some info from some gupshup member of places which sell this stuff, i know its out there in karachi..I just have no way of tracing it while living abroad. I don't understand why u took such a simple question and turned it into an argument of which brands and export import thing.

dushwari, every compant in every country has material that does not meet their own or their customers quality standards. period.
They have to dos omething else with that merchandise, because selling it as first quality is going to kill their reputation in the long run and be of impact of entire industry.
Much if the QC failed mercfhandise is then sold as as-is second quality, whatever type of label. for companies that export, the items wind up in local markets. it alows companies to atleats capture their costs.
many companies actually donate the products to charity.
of course this applies to stuff liek clothing and not for stuff that may hurt someone, ike wire and cable etc..atleats not openly.
sadi, u may want to try zainab market in karachi. they should have t, or can point you in the right diretion.

I know just one place in Lahore, the factory outlet of Nishat Linen. It is on the main ferozpur road going towards the Kasur side. Great sheets/curtain bedding etc at great prices and it gets even better if you get a sale season.

i've been there once,a few years back...and i have to say that if u get there when their stuff comes in u can get really good stuff at grrreat prices...:)

oh i have heard alot about it...infact i think my bro got some bedsheets from them a year ago and they were alrite though ofcourse a person like me can pinpoint the printing fault in them. But i always wanted to go there and infact been through that route couple of times but cud neva stop by cuz of my lazy family..lol but ya next time i think i better give it a look myself.
