:halo: i am half serious, and half kidding. For students who have one very early-morning class, then a very late evening class, i reckon unis should create a couple of designated beds for students to use, even just 5. Then each student can book them (on a first come first served basis), so it’s a fair system towards all. They should have some beds somewhere, in one particular section of the uni, where students can just go and sleep for a half hour or so. Imagine how refreshed we’d feel afterwards. At least i wouldn’t have to pretend for my next class, that i’m awake when in reality my eyelids are drooping. :o
Why hasn’t anyone thought of this brilliant idea yet? :halo: i think i should patent this one.
well a lot of depts in schools have student lounges specifically accessible only to students in those departments (so most of the time, you'll find a place to rest/study), and the lounges are furnished with sofas, couches, chairs and what not... I've actually slept in the business lounge more than half a dozen times every semester. Its common for people to spend all-nighters so we need that space.
I used to get some great sleep at university. Basically, I'd go to a boring lecture like Human Resources or Microeconomic, where the lecturer would give out comprehensive lecture notes and basically read them out, and then lie across 4 seats under a bench where the lecturer couldn't see me.
I could then go so sleep, with the lecturer's boring drone being a fairly effective lullaby.
