So we got this bed for the guest bedroom coz it was on sale. Hubby is not too fond of the headboard but I convinced him saying that the headboard could be worked on.

What would you do with this headboard to make it look more chic. P.S: I do have a sewing machine.
My own idea would be to get some sponge padding on the front and probably get a suede look material and make a cover for the headboard.
Another idea would be to paint the headboard a deeper darker shade of brown or maybe white.
Would love to hear your ideas.

liked suede idea... go for it.. and if you get bored iwth it remove it and paint the chic thing in darker tone

I would go with the upholstered idea....maybe add some buttons to give it a professional finish.
