Is there any way to get the Becker CPA materials for a cheaper price??? My husband needs to start studying, but is trying to find ways to get the books cheaper. Each book cost around $800 or over and he needs 4 books…I know there is ebay but I bided for 2 different books and both of the biddings got canceled by ebay…so now I am a little scared to order from the site…any one have any suggestions???

If so, you might also try craigslist and kijiji.

why not get the craigslist seller to ship them to you and you pay upfront for shipping too. I’m sure this will still come out waaay cheaper than other options.
Also there’s no harm checking out Amazon since a lot of times you can get a used book cheaper from an affiliate storefront.

Another good site is the Ebay associate http://www.half.com that sells used books via independent sellers.

Find discussion forum where CPA candidates chat, and then get these books /CD's cheap from a student who has just passed his/her CPA exam. I'll try to see if I know someone who has just passed the CPA test, and will let you know.
By the way, amongst all the options available to prepare for CPA, Becker is the best, IMO. Wiley and others were not so good. Of course, they have changed the format of the test in the last one year too.

I am trying to look for becker only. I didn't hear very good reviews about other books. The CPA discussion forum is a good idea I will google it. And if you know of anyone selling pls let me know.

I got my used (very cheap) text book from there. They even tell u the condition of the book.
