It actually originated from women drawing stars, flowers etc on their faces to conceal freckels, spots, scars etc… i.e. to look flawless and more beautiful… it then became quite fashionable and men and women started wearing patches made of leather/silk in different designs! … and when painters drew some of these people’s protraits, thats where the black marks were picked up and became known as beauty spots (as they were used for concealing flaws and increasing beauty)… people then moved on from patches to simply drawing in a lil black circle (a kaala til)… Interesting :hmmm:
So I guess the ones we draw in are known as beauty spots for the above reasons… but the ones we naturally have are simply called moles, so they don’t really have anything to do with beauty, i mean most hawt women in this world don’t have tils… psttt so much for gay desi songs about tils :hehe:
I have one also on my left cheek, encircled in red on marlyin’s picture. It’s not by birth, it appeared when I was around 11, and it’s triangular. Weird!
Yeh, mine is in a very similar place to Marilyn’s except on the right side and I never had it from birth either. Mine isn’t protuberant though…I think if they’re protuberant (stick out from the skin) and if they grow or change colour you should get them checked out.
Barbie, apparently Marilyn used to cover hers up in her earlier modelling career but eventually she started to darken it. Maybe I should do the same
I have them all over my body as well…my arms and legs are covered with them, I have a few on my hands (one on the palm of my hand) and I even have one on the sole of my right foot!
i'm a bit confused what you mean by moles and beauty spots..aren't they both different things?
But someone once told me thatbeauty spots are where an angel has touched you..Not sure whether this is right or not tho..i have so many..i have 3 on my left arm going down in a diagonal line which my dad also has in the exact same place..very strange! I've got one on the bottom of my foot and one on my back and various ones on the arms and legs!
