Beauty routines

How long does the whole course take? Weeks, months?

Are there any side effects.

No side effects (so far) but sometimes the area treated is a bit sensitive for a couple of hours after treatment.

You need to leave at least 6 weeks between treatments so it'll take around 4-6 months.

I am going for threading, proly. But I don't have anyone to do it for me, so proly i will get it done professionally.

shehreen, how much did the whole thing cost?

Do you have to get someone else to do threadind for you or can you do it yourself?

I know people who can perform threading on themselves but I guess you would need to be pretty skillful at it first. Also depending on where you want threaded it might be easier to get someone else to do it for you.

vitamin E cleansing gel (twice a day)
lavender toner (twice a day)
moisturizer with spf (forgot the name)
herbal exfoliant (once a week)
mandarin mask (once a week)

Sajal, do you buy the Madarin mask ie from the Body Shop or is it home made?

For hair removal..you should try electrolisys (sp?) Alhamduliliah I find it to be working very well!!!

As for my face routine..I'm not that regular..even though I know I should be.

Some of the products that I have used are Sheshido and Elizabeth Arden. As for a moisturizer, I am using two- one by lancome and the other by the body shop.

I've got question. Actually two.

1) What the hell do you use to get rid of dandruff? Not the big chunky flakes, but the really fine, fine flakes. I've used Head and Shoulders, and I do put oil in my hair....but it still keeps coming back. Out of frustration, I followed the advice off of one web site and put a mix of apple cider vinegar and water on my head.

2) My hair is falling out like crazy....not in pieces but in STRANDS! And not just a few...but chunks!! What can I do to ensure that I won't be bald by the time I get married :D

Hinna mix egg with mustard oil and lil drops of lemon and mix them all well, and leave on ur hairs for about good 2 hours. and just wash em.

Try laser hair removal. It’s costly per treatment ($400-600 per 15 minute session) but well worth the upfront cost since it’s a permanent solution to unwanted hair. You may have to go for 1-2 treatments or 3-4 depending on what and where you want your hair removed from. Most health insurance carriers don’t cover the cost since it’s classified as a cosmetic procedure but check with your dermatologist or primary care physician as to whether they can get you a referral. If they can, perhaps you won’t be burdened with bearing all of the cost for getting this procedure done.

Other than that, for your eyebrows, use Sally Hansen wax strips or get them done professionally. The cost is minimal either way. In addition, use bleach to lighten eyebrows to a shade darker than your hair color. Be careful though, the longer you leave on bleach, the lighter your eyebrows will get. You have to time this appropriately before removing the bleach.

Hope these tips helped a bit

Hinna, are you sure your hair loss isn't just down to stress or seasonal changes? Sometimes it seems like you're losing more hair than normal but if you're not getting actual bald patches or severe thinning then it could just be seasonal or hormonal. Might be worth getting your thyroid tested if the problem continues.

Wash face with regular soap and water, shave, put aftershave and then Boots Cucumber moisturiser :Pretty: meri khili khili rangat ka raaz!

I have also got noor on my face (yeh noor woh noor hai jo a’amaal ki waja se chehray par aata hai, aati nahin hai) :halo:

Shahreen
actually I get all my products from Elizabeth Gradys. It's a small chain
spa. :)

It's been happening for sometime now. There aren't any patches...but my hair is thinning out. I've got everything tested...all clear. Right now I'm fighting a battle with anemia. I've had it since I was a teenager...I keep relapsing....maybe that's causing the hair loss???

this for the dandruff or the thinning hair???

Sounds like its for the dandruff Hinna. And yes, your anaemia is probably connected to your hair loss.

The Elizabeth Arden Salon on Fifth Avenue, NYC, NY also carries excellent skincare products. If any of you guppans are in or near NY, check it out.

Shahreen, I need to thank you for recommending the talika. it really works and i've only been using it for a couple of weeks. I doubt it'll make me look as stunning as you but if this goes on i may be able to throw away my mascaras.
But the box isn't clear, do i need to use it twice a day forever or can i cut back to using it a few times a week now as it is pretty expensive stuff.

One Totka for all of you..I mean for girlz only..

" Okay girls, lemme tell you about the product.. It is paste but hang on a second I will tell you how to prepare in a minute. You have to apply this paste twice a day…and within 40 (Forty dayz) you will see the change. If it does not change you…than it is your fate..nothing can change your skin.

Okay get a pen and paper!

  1. Honey: I always prefer Australian Honey
  2. Tumeric : aik chataank
  3. Lemon rus : Two table spoons..
  4. Mastard Powder: adha chataank
  5. Curd …hazb-e-zaiqa
  6. Crocodile Dung: kilo

Now remember one thing that.. Try to avoid it from the Sunlight ..so you have to do this work in late night…

Mix all these things (except curd) and stir it than it will turn to be Yellowish red color..and add curd in it… first taste it and than throw it…
