Beauty gifts to a family member in Pakistan?

Salaams everyone, I was wondering if you could help me with a gift purchase? I’m married to a Pakistani man, and his mamoo and auntie are going to be visiting us here in the US for a few days. The circumstances are not going to be too happy so I wanted to make a beauty bag to cheer auntie up. I was going to go to Ulta or Sephora and pick up maybe a lip gloss set she could share with her daughters and maybe some really nice lotions or creams that she wouldn’t be able to get in PK. My main concern is that I want it to be really special and also I’m concerned about the logistics about her getting the stuff through TSA and international customs–I certainly don’t want it seized. Since I have no international flight experience I’m really not up on what she can’t bring back, all I know is the 3oz. restriction on liquids and gels but what about full size hand creams and stuff like that?

Anyway auntie has gone through some sad times and I really want to cheer her up and also bring a little glamour and luxury into her life while she is here in the USA. Can you help me?

Jazakallah, Noor :flowers:

The makeup in their checked baggage shouldn't be a problem at all. But in the carry on they won’t be able to carry too much. For the carry-on you can get them large ziploc bags and have them put their makeu in that.

Just curious, do you already have a good relationship with them? because if not (by that I mean, if the relationship is quite bad), then don't bother.

Oh no, I have a great relationship with them, we just haven’t met yet and they’re quite eager to see me. A tragedy happened to my hubby’s cousin three years ago here in the US and they are coming over to wrap up some loose ends about that. I really wish we were meeting under better circumstances but since it’s going to be a while since we can get over to PK and have our walima and have me be formally introduced to the family I guess this is the way it has to be…:teary1:
