I rarely truely apprecaite music, the larger majority of it being manufactured crap. But Starsailor, travis and stereophonics. . . . .
You yanks have no idea what you are missing. Coldplay is rubbish and pales in comparrison. These people actually sing well, play all their own instruments and don’t rely on false pesudo personalities to sell their stuff. Lyrical geniuses and never fail to make me sit back and listen.
For that alone they deserve the several awards that they repeatedly miss out on as record companies pat themselves on the back.
Not based on looks, sex, drugs or any other “controversial” selling technique. Pure talent. Just how I like it.
Listen to starsailor, travis is not my absolute favourite. Try: "from a whisper to a scream" "She just wept" and "Born again" And be sure to let me know what you think.
Travis, were a fresh sound, especcially when "why does it always rain on me" came out, but after that, especcially with radio head making a big impact internationally and really taking their music places, I guess Travis became a little bland, I don't blame them for trying to rip off radiohead. Annother great band.
