Beautiful Port City Karachi burns again....

Re: Beautiful Port City Karachi burns again....

Urdu is national language of Pakistan. MQMers are not the caretakers of a whole language. Punjabi, Pashtuns, Baloch, Seraiki... all speak Urdu.

Don't let these corrupt political party's divide people up on basis of language is my point.

Re: Beautiful Port City Karachi burns again....

Well this is not the first time happening in Karachi, it was taken over by the mohajirs in 1947 peacefully from the Sindhis...it was NOT a mohajir city before Pakistan...

Re: Beautiful Port City Karachi burns again....

Sindhis still have all of Sindh. What do Urdu speakers have left? We know we are not very much liked here in Pakistan and some are still repenting why they left India, atleast they would be called Indians there instead of words like Muhajirs, Hindustanis etc.

Re: Beautiful Port City Karachi burns again....

both MQM and ANP at work. PPP also participate here and there to make sure their guns don't gather dust.

and PPP ~ JSQM

edit: and i believe this is not ethnic problem which started this, its pure political agenda specially for last 3 years, its pure dirty politics, that's another story that they want to hide it under the guess of ethnicity

Re: Beautiful Port City Karachi burns again…

Well said :k:

Re: Beautiful Port City Karachi burns again....

Exactly.

Karachi was a major economic hub long before Mohajirs arrived, which is why mohajirs went there.

Re: Beautiful Port City Karachi burns again....

Who is benefiting from all this saga of Killings???

Re: Beautiful Port City Karachi burns again....

^ as far as internal players (and by this i mean people who are inside pakistani political mess) its very obvious... everytime that abdul rehman malik runs to karachi, who does he talk to? and when he makes a call, who's the one receiving the call??? and who later on issues statements like "we expect govt to do what they promised..." and those who "promise" something, and in return are left free to continue their corruption and enjoy the perks for few more weeks... its really very obvious...

but in terms of external players, and by this i mean people who are outside (I do NOT mean the political leaders) but have their own interests in keeping Pakistan busy in local and home grown terrorism and not be able to grow economically and remain dependent on someone for financial needs and also not be able to do much needed emphasis on issues like Kashmir etc... there are several countries in this list. its easy to figure out, but difficult to prove

Re: Beautiful Port City Karachi burns again....

So what exactly is stopping these 'Urdu speaking' Mohajirs from settling in any part of the country? Why do they want to call Karachi their own? It's one of the largest metropolitans in the world, how can you expect it to be dominated by a single ethnicity? Last time I checked a Pakistani can live and work in any part of Pakistan.

Re: Beautiful Port City Karachi burns again…

:k: Well said. I hope mqm who claimed to be more educated than local Sindhis should understand what you said.

Re: Beautiful Port City Karachi burns again....

^ pasha sahab, could not understand something, are you saying that N$ and the hukam ka ghulaam are right? or are you saying that N$ is killing people? if you mean to agree with what N$ said, then its the fault of the govt which you support, yes pee pee pee govt, and if you are saying N$ is behind the killings, then plz enlighten us with some solid pointers why he's doing this and how he managed to kill 1000s of people in karachi in last 2 years...

Re: Beautiful Port City Karachi burns again…

MQM has the solution for Karachi’s problems!

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Sunday urged the Supreme Court of Pakistan to take suo motto notice of what it called increasing number of serious crimes in Punjab and also proposed Army’s control on the province.

According to a statement issued by MQM Coordination Committee here, the Punjab has witnessed 109 percent rise in crime rate compared to the last year.

“The incidents of terrorism, killings and kidnapping for ransom are at their peak in Punjab where life and property of the people is no longer secure,” the statement said, proposing handing over of the province to the Army ‘to control the situation made worse by lawlessness, bad governance and rampant crimes’.
