Re: Beautiful Poem By Mohsin Naqvi..................
rkopra saahab!
Is there any particular reason that you chose to hit a specific target (read: Nikamijano) or you failed to see similar responses of tahreem and muddii... More importantly, why did you not ask the same question to the thread owner? I think it would have been only fair if you would have asked soniaa_jee this question.
I find it strange but expected to see you targetting someone whom you expect to answer.. Is it because she is a mod?
What are your own thoughts about this poem? Please, share it first and then, ask others about theirs.
Dear Anwaar Quereshi, first of all I would like to thank you profusely for joining me in Shayer Fehmi and expressing your opinions about the appreciation of poetry. I feel I am going to find a great friend in you. Please do not take any comments of mine in a conflictory manner. I am amazed that you guys think I am here for counter arguments or hitting others. It's far from true. I want to engage you all in constructive discussions about the appreciation of poetry, Urdu poetry in particular. And I hope I am not asking too much of you - instead of keeping the feelings stored inside after reading a poem, why not express what the poem means to a reader here, and to make some comments on the poem itself.
I am sorry if you think I** targeted **NikamiJano. I asked her because she is a moderator and the other comments were in the manner of praise etc and nothing about the poem itself.
As about the poem, I already wrote to NikamiJano what I see there. And I do not claim to have seen everything and missed nothing. That' the purpose of this discussion that we come here to enlighten others and not say only thanks, thanks, nice sharing, zabardast, zabardast and khoob, khoob etc.
Since you have shown great enthusiasm in joining me in Shayer Fehmi, and as you had about 4 years ago raised the same concerns ( I joined this forum recently and was not aware of that) I am considering asking Amal to make you an originator of Shayer Fehmi with me. I want to pay respects to you in this humble manner. What do you think? Please take my comments and questions in a friendly manner. Thanks again and kind regards. Ravi Kopra.
PS: As I said earlier, I will go back to Shayer Fehmi to read once again what you expressed and add further, including others verses, nazms and ghazals of well known poets. I thank Amal and NikamiJano for visiting Shayer Fehmi after you graced its pages. I am considering moving some passages from here to Shayer Fehmi thanking you to keep the ongoing discussion in proper context.
