I absolutely love this colour combination and its quiet likely I will get this colour combination for my wedding too..
can everyone please post any pics you have of bridal lenghas in this colour combination. please dont post any other colours…just these 2 colours together. thanks:)
p.s. if I wanted this colour combination…would it be easy to find these colours in pakistan? (ready made)…or would I have to get it made?
wheres the best place to go for bridal lenghas? lahore/karachi/india…or somewhere else?
I recently saw a bride who got her lengha made according to a pic she had seen…i.e. the embroidery etc…and it looked too plain and not like a bridal lengha at all…it was too dull…I dont want to end up with that kind of lengha…so would it be best if i just got a ready made one?
again, would it be easy for me to find these colours that I am posting in this thread? please post some pics in these colours as I really love these colours! thanks:)
p.s. what would you say these colours are called? pink and…?
pink and minty-green or pista-green as they’d call it in Pak..
Yo’re right, it is a beautiful lengha..thas abrar’s wife btw..
I gave my dad drawings of what i wanted nad lets see what he brings back :halo:
NO, he gonna get it from scratch…he knows what i like and that i wont settle for some crappy thing from Ichhra.. I gave him plenty of pictures though, magazine foto s and sketches of my own so he can get an idea of what i want. i trust him though, he’ll bring me something gorgeous
you know the ones that are made from scratch…why do they sometimes look too plain? I mean recently I saw a bride who saw a pic in a bridal magazine and then got the same embroidery done on it…but the embroidery looked too plain…I mean not the same as it normally is on bridal lenghas…maybe for that you need to go to some special bridal shop?
and also her fabric didnt look right with the embroidery…it ended up looking like a normal everyday lengha and not a bridal… any idea why that happened?
yaar i would never suggest light colors for the first day .. yeah on the valima you can wear them .. :)
there are all kinds available in pakistan . if you want it a ready made .. you can get it
and if you want to get it made .. that is also possible
but i think getting them made according to preferences is better . the kind of beads and work you want to be done over it etc. then it is as you want it
you will find excellent lehngas in lahore .
also BEEGEE designs are worth buying . she designs lehngas for international market.
wear any color that suits you and you look good in. everyone knows that you are the bride sitting next to the groom with a tikka on ur forehead. if bride wears red n u don't look good in red dont wear it. same goes for make up . you should look pretty n not go with the stereotypes about bride. u will end up looking like a mess. most important thing is to look pretty and feel pretty. so wear wht u want n look wht u like. :)
if u can wait till dec,i can post some pics of bridal dress of these two colours,
as i m getting married in dec and my walima dress is of thse two colors.
made from "zardozi" lahore.
^ Or to please themselves. I doubt that husbands notice whether you wear chiffon, georgette, banarsi, jamevar, organza, etc. And most won't know the difference between olive or pista green. :D
