i wouldnt mind if my hubby wanted to keep a beard just coz he wants to for the love of prophet Muhammad SAW...would never EVER stop him if he used this reason!:) and insha'Allah id find it attractive!

And definitely not looking for reasons to marry a perv. If he did not have a beard, you’d probably tell me to get the hell away from such a creep. But because he has a beard, all of a sudden he has the “humour of a teenager”?

Truly I don’t know the man, if you don’t like him then you do the thing that is right for you. I was simply trying to make way for a possible opportunity for you, sometimes it could well be that others speak out of turn and say things that they should not have … and it is possible they are not really like that at all. But hey, if you think he is creepy then forget him and get someone better. I fully support you in that.

What kinds of teenagers have you met? I’ve never seen a muslim teenager behave in such a cheap way so directly.

And what did I do to provoke such a statement? Of course, it is always the girl’s fault in the minds of traditionalists like yourself. Let me tell you something. Guys out there, if they are not serious about their roles and responsibilities as MEN, will take any opportunity to throw in a sleezy statement. They dont need to be provoked. It happens because their parents did not teach them how to respect girls. Because SOCIETY didn’t teach them how to respect girls.

And most importantly because of PEOPLE LIKE YOU, who these guys KNOW will never come after them, but rather will come after the girl with questions like “So what did YOU say to him to bring him to such conversation” and “What did you do to tempt him”? They know this is the reaction people give, and so they continue to behave in a sleezy way. They know they will never be punished for it, but a girl will.

Had I known this brother … after calming you down and made excuses for him I would have given him a right ear bashing … This is the condition that we should be in … make excuses for others (i.e. that he may have meant something else), but if I would speak to him directly trust me I would have a few harsh words to say … All this to encourage something good. I hope you see why I was trying to defend him. But I stand by my statement above … I don’t really know him, so you should exercise your good judgement. You seem perfectly capable of that.

Your beards mean khaak. Just the fact that you’re asking ME what did I do as if its **my fault **I’m being spoken to inappropriately shows me how little you understand of Islam, and how little respect you have for muslim women.

Though I had no intention to make it seem it was your fault … I accept that is how what I wrote appears to be saying … I was trying to be clever … obviously not clever enough. But I was not trying to shift blame … as I said I was trying to make excuses for him so you could perhaps take another stance to look and reassess the whole situation and may be … just may be it is possible that because he has a beard you have a higher standard for him to follow. Again this is only an insinuation I can only say what is based on my limited understanding … you know best .. deep inside your heart … you know what you want and why you want it … Pray for me that I can become a better example of a Muslim.
