Old thread but I'm a huge fan of Man vs wild. This guy is amazing. Teaches excellent survival techniques if you ever get lost in wilderness.

I dont know about Man vs Wild. I am a big fan of Survivorman. Its a real show with no camera crew and guy is alone with 5-6 small cameras.

Les Stroud is good. He demonstrates true survival. I also love his show but sadly he is no more shooting new episodes of program :(

ahh this was something i posted a couple of years ago.
not that much of a fan anymore after someone from his crew leaked info saying bear grylls slept at air-conditioned local hotels after building his funky night shelters, and wood fires. and that all the wild food he traps are planted. also, the rafts and stuff he builds, are actually built by consultants for him.
the new episodes carry a disclaimer saying no claims of truthfulness are made. 
still quite an entertaining show. just not as much of a thrill though. he does eat some nasty bugs. :k: (but then he is used to english food bleh)

Yeah and there is also some stupidity involved. If you watched the episode of Montana Rockies (the one in latest season named Big Sky Country, not the very first one in first season). He climbed a railroad bridge of about 200 feet or something.. Why on earth you want to climb a railway bridge when you can reach the end by just walking.. lol
