Truly our Prophet (salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) was blessed with the most profound and succinct of speech.
One of my favorite is the following:
“Be conscious of Allah wherever you are, and follow up a bad deed with a good one, and interact with people with the best of manners” [al-Tirmidhi].
Such a beautiful, optimistic, practical advice! Always be spiritually conscious of Allah. And at times you will slip, so when you do, make up for it by doing a good deed. And realize that Islam isn’t just about worship and rituals, but it is also about how you deal and interact with others, so make sure you’re always dealign with your fellow human beings the same way, or better, than how you would like them to deal with you.
