As u ppl may read the BCCI is facing some problems arranging two main series by the end of 2004 … Aussie are expected to play in India … rumours r that instead 3 Test + an ODI Series this series may contain 4 Tests and no ODI … on the other hand SA is expected a little later on Indian Soil to play a 3 Test + an ODI Series … Finally PAK wants to play an ODI series on indian soil before they head off to Down under …
Are Injury and burn-out effects a sure outcome of this huge amount of cricket over a short period of time ???

OF COURSE..

I don't see what the PCB is gonna get out of playing a completely meaningless ODI series right before the all-important Aussie tour. If anything the players should be told to have either complete rest or just train for the aussie tour.

Granted we're probably going to get beaten comprehensively down under but at least they should try to give a good account of themselves and treat the tour with the importance that it deserves. and playing a meaningless a set of games each of which will result in 300+ scores is not giving the tour down under the respect that it deserves.

one of these days, I'm gonna sit down with Shehryar Khan and Rameez Raja and talk some sense into these confused gentlemen.

What make syou think that it would be meanaingles?

No amount of net practice can match what happens there in middle?

I think this will help them. Also another thing that will help them is arriving AUS early and have some good 2-3 3-day matches before test series.

FnB, the difference in Indian and Aussie pitches is tremendous, deosn't matter how many games they play on Indian pitches, "practice" will be much smaller compared to the mental and physcial pressure.

YES...there is difference in Pitches. Bu it is still better than doing nets & camps in Pakistan.
