BBC's Urdu Series on Sexuality - "Baat to kerni pare gi"

Has anyone been following BBC’s this series on sexuality. I think this is right spot on and a detailed debate (or education in a sense) is really needed in Pakistan. The current situation is letting our half population “women” down big times and religious, emotional and societal blackmailing dont let our women escape from this situation.

What you people think those who have been following this series and those who have not, I would suggest them that being a part of pakistani society you better know these issues… I dont know whether i am allowed to post the link here or not but i am doing it now. MODS can decide it whether it should stay or not

One more thing it is in URDU so expats or others who cant read urdu will have trouble getting it…

Re: BBC’s Urdu Series on Sexuality - “Baat to kerni pare gi”

I skimmed through a couple of stories. They seem very hard to believe. If they happen to be true, then it is extremely sad. It seems like women are hardly given any respect.

Not only are they forced to get married early, but they don’t seem to be educated about important matters.

Shameful. :nook:

I don't see anything novel here. Urdu dailies and weekly magazines have been discussing the same for years.

Nothing new there.
