[RIGHT]بین الاقوامی میڈیا میں بھارتی شہر ممبئی میں حالیہ دہشت گردی کے بعد گرفتار ہونے والے مبینہ پاکستانی کا ذکر تین مختلف ناموں کے ساتھ کیا جا رہا ہے۔ ابتداء میں اجمل عامر کمال نام سامنے آیا، پھر اعظم عامر کسو اور اب ممبئی سے گرفتار ہونے والے مبینہ پاکستانی کو اجمل محمد عامر کسب کہا جا رہا ہے۔[/RIGHT]
بھارت سمیت مختلف یورپی ممالک کے اخبارات اپنے اپنے ذرائع کے مطابق زیرِ حراست دہشت گرد کا مختلف نام استعمال کر رہے ہیں لیکن ان تمام اخبارات کا ایک ہی دعویٰ ہے کہ اجمل عامر کا تعلق پاکستان میں جنوبی پنجاب کے شہر ملتان کے علاقے فرید کوٹ سے ہے۔
ملتان شہر کے گرد و نواح میں فرید کوٹ نامی کوئی قصبہ نہیں تاہم ملتان ڈویژن کے دو اضلاع میں دو مختلف فرید کوٹ ہیں۔
ایک فرید کوٹ ملتان سے تقریباً پچاس کلو میٹر کے فاصلے پر ضلع خانیوال کی شہری حدود میں واقع ہے۔ خانیوال شہر سے پانچ کلو میٹر فاصلے پر اس گاؤں کا سرکاری نام ’نوے دس آر‘ ہے تاہم یہ گاؤں فرید کوٹ کے نام سے ہی جانا جاتا ہے۔ یہ گاؤں بمشکل ایک سو مکانات پر مشتمل ہے۔ گاؤں میں ایک چھوٹی سی مسجد اور آٹھویں جماعت تک کا ایک سکول ہے۔
اس فرید کوٹ کے زیادہ تر لوگ کاشتکاری کرتے ہیں یا پھر مزدوری کرنے خانیوال شہر جاتے ہیں۔ مقامی لوگوں سے بات چیت کے بعد پتہ چلا کہ وہاں سے نہ تو کبھی کوئی جہاد پر گیا ہے اور نہ ہی اجمل عامر کمال نامی کوئی شخص یا اس کا خاندان کبھی گاؤں میں رہا ہے۔
ملتان ڈویژن کا دوسرا فرید کوٹ بابا فرید گنج شکر کے شہر پاکپتن شریف سے چودہ کلو میٹر اور ملتان شہر سے دو سو کلو میٹر دور ہے۔ یہ قصبہ شمال مشرق میں سرحد پار بھارتی ضلع فیروز پور سے محض پینتالیس کلو میٹر کے فاصلے پر ہے۔
پاکپتن کا فرید کوٹ پاکستان کے روایتی دیہات کا منظر پیش کرتا ہے جہاں ہر شخص دوسرے شخص کو جانتا ہے۔ دو حصوں میں تقسیم اس قصبے کی آبادی دو ہزار کے لگ بھگ ہے اور زیادہ تر لوگ کاشتکاری کرتے ہیں۔ قصبے کے چند نوجوان روزگار کے حصول کے لیے ملک کے دیگر شہروں یا متحدہ عرب امارات منتقل ہوگئے ہیں تاہم مقامی لوگوں کا کہنا ہے کہ کوئی شخص کبھی نام نہاد جہاد یا کسی تنظیم میں شامل ہونے کے لیے گھر چھوڑ کر نہیں گیا۔ اجمل عامر کمال کا نام اس فرید کوٹ کے لوگوں کے لیے بھی نیا ہے۔
اس فریدکوٹ میں نہ تو کوئی مدرسہ ہے اور نہ ہی آٹھویں جماعت کے بعد کوئی سکول۔ عام دیہاتوں کی طرح یہ دیہات بھی بنیادی سہولتوں سے محروم ہے اور زیادہ تر لوگ ان پڑھ ہیں۔ قصبے میں بولی جانے والی زبان خطے کی سرائیکی زبان سے ہٹ کر ہے اور پنجابی اور سرائیکی کا درمیانی لہجہ سنائی دیتی ہے۔ مقامی لوگ اردو بولنے میں دشواری محسوس کرتے ہیں۔
شام کے وقت حقّے کے گرد ایک روایتی دیہاتی محفل میں موجود مقامی لوگوں سے ملاقات کے بعد پتہ چلا کہ عیدیں اور چودہ اور پندرہ اگست کو فرید کوٹ کے مکین تفریح کے لیے پاک بھارت سرحد پر چلے جاتے ہیں اور بھارتی شہر فاضلکے کے لوگوں سے ہاتھ ہلا حال احوال لینے میں خوشی محسوس کرتے ہیں۔

Seems like someone didn't do their homework properly and started taking the name Faridkot immaturely. Now lets see if they can prove that his family exists in any of the Faridkots.

n there is no one named ajmal aamir kamal or his family ever lived there ....

the other faridkot has population of 2000 ppl .... this faridkot is typical Pakistani dehaat ... where every person know each other ....
there is not ajmal aamir kamal there either....
they speak saraiki language ....... which is different from Punjabi .... & no 1 is comfortable speaking urdu.

Basically what it is saying is that there are two Faridkot villages, one is close to Khanewal (approx 50km from Multan) the other is around 200km from Multan. Both are small villages and according to report people of both villages have denied knowing anyone by name of Ajmal Amir Kasab/Kasav.
Good journalistic work by Zaheeruddin Babar of BBC. His work is so fundamental, but surprisingly no one of Pakistani journalist thought about searching for this Faridkot village of obviously Bharati imagination.

it is saying Indian Media is using three different names for the terrorist they caught. intially they were saying it was Ajmal Amir Kamal, then Azim Amir Kasso, and now they are calling it Ajmal Muhammad Amir Kasab, but they all are stressing on this one notion that he is from Pakistan.
come to think of it, NADRA is all computerized! Government CAN pull out all Ajmal Akrams (and all those variants) in 200 miles radius of Multan and realese it to media. That would be fun.
Frankly, I think a lot of lies that are being thrown from the gutter-machine (ie media across the border) can be easily verified by a little invesitigative journalism, which seems to be the case here. As someone else mentioned, NADRA pretty much has everyone on their computerized database so it shouldnt be that big a deal to verify these people.

It helps to think before posting. According to the investigative journalist no one from the village ever went to jehad. How can he be so confident. Did he do a detailed analysis to find out. Would the villagers be so forthcoming if one of their kin was involved in this dastardly act.
In the second village everyone knows each other and that no 1 is comfortable speaking urdu. This is news. Cant a language be learned. People learn making bombs but they find it extremely difficult to learn a new language. Some investigative journalism this !!!

Before getting all excited, go and do a lil bit research about NADRA 1st. India's newly found love CIA & FBI use NADRA's resources to track down suspected Pakistani nationals. I suppose, India still hasn't switched to centralized biomatric database?
