The Sharif Brothers Industries have paid 6,710,000,000 PKR = 64,899,900 USD in Taxes to the Govt of Pakistan
however I do not support their Policies as such and think Pakistan will be better of with some one else!

Re: BBC documentary on NS corruption
Just because they have paid that much in taxes, doesnt mean they have paid their due. They were convicted and accepted the conviction of loan write off and misuse of power on the Hudaibiya issue. Plus, the issue of money laundering still exists. They have never documented how they transferred upwards of $1 billion to UK.
Re: BBC documentary on NS corruption
I'm not defending NS or his business interest, but this is from early 1990s. NS steel mills were closed in 1999 & taken over by the Mushrraf govt. & the fact its being rebroadcast by ARY (hardly a credible source when it comes to this govt)...there is nothing new about it. And 3.5 million rupee bribes? NS has estimated 1 to 1.5 billion US dollars. Thats not even pocket change for some one like NS and his business empire.

Ittefaq foundries was liened by the courts in 1997, during NS era (by design of course), in lieu of the Hudaibiya loan write off. That was followed by a swift stay order by their extended family, which stands till today. A 16 year old stay order....must be some sort of a record. And the Mehrangate issue was not about how much money was paid, but to whom it was paid, and how the election was engineered....otherwise, like you said, 3.5 million is pocket change for them.
Re: BBC documentary on NS corruption
Not a single comment on Nawaz Sharif’s corruption, yet you have to distract the thread. How can a leader be trusted who dodged Pakistani banks and FBR for many years.
There are several court and NAB cases against Sharif family. Most of them are decades old, they get stay order in 5 minutes on their cases, while others can’t register FIR for 70 days.
If people won’t cry for justice in Pakistan, what else they will do? @jasoor @desert_bird. There is a legitimate demand by people of Pakistan, the country deserves best people to rule it, not thugs.
Ishaq Dar’s affidavet against his Samdhi #PMNawaz](http://www.paklinks.com/gs/usertag.php?do=list&action=hash&hash=PMNawaz) .
All three men, Dar, Sharif and Malik are in parliament trying their best to save the cartel. All three should be impeached in the house on the basis of 1) Affidavet 2) Malik’s numerous interviews/statements (BBC’s Park Lane via Illford documentry) 3) Lack of transparency Hassan Nawaz’s real estate empire in London (remember there is no proof where did he get the money from) 4) Malik not pursuing cases despite having evidences under the command of Zardari, is a criminal act of concealing the truth.

Re: BBC documentary on NS corruption
How can NS qadray naik? He owes Rs. 6.4 Billion to Pakistani Banks, which he has no intention of returning after 25 years. Where as there are no corruption charges against IK. If a person had issues in his personal life, thats not comparable to the one who looted public money.
