Actually ... I have not seen this documentary yet. I have been thinking for some time to approach someone to make a documentary on Isa (AS) in accordance with the mainstream Islamic viewpoint.
I want to gather the data and then request involvement from Sh. Hamza Yusuf and Sh. Khalid Yasin, inshaAllah.
I for one look forward to such a documentary. I am totally not getting this going to sky and coming back theory as there doesn’t seem to be an iota of evidence to support this.
In the end it seems to boil down to “it happened because Allah can do anything”. At this rate we’ll have to believe every myth that any other religion throws at us as Allah can do that too.
Needless to say we need to present evidence which is human experience, common sense or based on reasonable explanations of scriptures that we hold to be true. Anything else is just blind faith.

I think you do the engaging quiet well by not making any educated comment on the documentary but rather shooting and insulting the messenger. Perhaps you need to study more of your own faith so you can give a reasoned answer? Nothing to be angry on Ahmadis for that.
Btw it’s a BBC documentary not an Ahmadi documentary. Ahmadis have a right to agree or disagree with it as much as anyone else.

Most of the posters have been personally attacking each others so there is no use to let this thread move on. Though most of such attacks were ignored because they were from both sides, the only post that could not be ignored was a personal attack towards a religious leader of any particular group, irrespective of whichever religion he belongs to, because it leads to hurting of feelings of all the followers.
Infractions have been added to the poster along with a warning, such insulting comments against any religious leader would not be tolerated in future. You may disagree to anyone but there are better ways of conveying/sharing your message with respect and sensitivity towards their beliefs, without hurting the feelings of the followers of that group through “insult”.
