QUETTA, Dec 4: Sardar Ataullah Khan Mengal, patron-in-chief of the Balochistan National Party (Mengal) on Tuesday criticised PPP leader Benazir Bhutto for urging the government to announce a general amnesty for Baloch fighters.
The veteran Baloch leader said in a statement that Benazir Bhutto should seek the Baloch forgiveness for the crimes committed against them by her father Z. A. Bhutto in the 70s.
He said that the Baloch were fighting for their national survival and would continue their struggle till the achievement of political autonomy.
Sardar Mengal said that while the government was killing the Baloch and destroying their homes, Ms Bhutto was seeking pardon for them.

ZAB did a good job in Balochistan smashing the separatists, and BB has nothing to apologise for. Similarly Musharraf has done an equally good job defeating the terrorists that sprang up some years ago. It's people like Mengal sahib who should apologise for being such a traitor.

Probably, but then again she thought the world of generals like Tikka Khan who was involved in the 71 war in the east. He remained close to ZAB after 1971, and she made Tikka Governor of Punjab in the 1980's. When he died she said of Tikka that he "rose to the highest offices of this country due to his hard work and respect for the rule of law." So I don't see her apologising for her fathers role in the breakup of Pakistan.
