BB Cream

BB Cream, AKA Blemish Balm Cream is all the rage in Asia and Southeast Asia. It’s supposed to even out the skin tone and brighten the skin.

I recently tried the Garnier Version of it. It was around $15 - not bad. I think it only comes in one shade, which was Medium Dark. Weird, because there was a gori girl next to me and she tried it on her hand. It was darker than her skin, but it looked more like a tan/bronzer cream.

Anyways, I had put it on one side of my face. It does apply well and doesn’t look dry (like most foundations/concealers do to my skin). But I do feel a little tingling sensation though. Let’s see how it lasts the rest of the evening. It does look good though.

Has anyone else used it? maybe from a different company?

Re: BB Cream

My chinese friends various BB creams. They look like tinted, illuminating moisturisers.

It doesn't seem to make a huge difference in terms of coverage, they use it for everyday and have good skin anyway. They still go for proper foundation when they go out.

Re: BB Cream

i tried the Loreal one. It just made my skin look really oily and DARK considering i used the medium shade too. it doesnt make a difference to my skin so ive stopped using it. I think theyre all just a gimmick tbh

Re: BB Cream

I want to try the Marcelle one, it's supposed to be really good. Afshi, can you update us on what you think of the Garnier one after you've used it for a bit?

Re: BB Cream

I've heard good reviews about the Garnier one, was gonna try that one myself cos I prefer tinted moisturisers over foundation for everyday wear

Re: BB Cream

I think they have two shades because i have the one in light, i have fairly dry skin and this didn't emphasise the dryness at all, and lasts aaages, but it does feel a bit greasy for a few mins, and it doesn't hide any scarring etc,

Re: BB Cream

Most of the reviews I've read say that they are not suitable for oily skin, which mine is, so I would probably not bother to try any.

BB Cream

It has silica.. All of them.. Oh woe that is me!!! If you guys know of a silica free.. Hit me up!!

Re: BB Cream

stoppit - definitely not suited to oily skin! i dont even have oily skin but i do have very slight shiny patches on my chin and the garnier BB cream emphasised them so much! it totally felt i had some thick grease on my skin!
