Dude I love this show...
Battlestar: Galactica in my opinion is the BEST show on TV period.
Its better than 24, Lost, CSI:Miami, and any other show out there....
They are also going to make a prequel to this show called,
Battlestar: Caprica, it will show the Cylon War...
This is among the greatest shows ever made....
Oh and I bought the DVD for the 1st and 2nd seasons

finally some people with taste...yes the new series is amazing I am nearing the end of season 2..it's considered one of the best shows out there by Entertainment TV, rolling stone magazine and Time magazine for it's raw realistic characters and brilliant allegories..the only problem is it's virtually impossible t get into without starting back from the first season..still I really really recommend it to all sci-fi fans ..or generally people who like shows like Lost etc..

This show has great writing. Great drama, dialogue. Smart and educated debates about religion, torture, freedoms, sacrifice, greater good of the majority vs the well being of a few, history, science, mythology, etc...
This show is just so awesome:)

I agree.I just started watching it from the first season up.Just 6 Episodes into the first season so far and what an amazing show. Love the opening theme and how they show a little tease at what’s going to be in the episode.Really sets the tone. :k:

Actually, I have downloaded all the episodes. Because in Canada, we don’t get the USA Sci-Fi Network but we have this crappy Space Channel which is one year behind all Sci-Fi american programming. so I just download the show. Once the show came out on DVD, i bought the DVD. I was gonna download the DVD as well, but I decided against it in respect of the producers behind this show. so I spend some money and got the season 1 and 2 on DVD.

TNC the first season has a killer finale..I won't spoilt it for you but enjoy! Two episodes from the first season have won awards for their powerful scripts..first episide and the cylon torture one..

Battlestar Galactica: The Best Show in the History of Television
That is a very bold statement to make but I have seen a lot of TV, but nothing, nothing comes close to the writing, acting, the themes and the conflicts that are protrayed in Battlestar Galactica.
It is without a doubt the best show in the history of Television.
WATCH IT.

i missed it in the beginning and have to get the dvds to catch up although i did watch the catchup special they had. I am a sci fi buff ..sadly much of sci fi is done poorly, this is done well.

tivo'ed the episodes, kids ben ill so no chance to watch TV will catch up on it.
btw guys, is there a site which brings ppl up to speed who did nto start with season one, kinda like a summary of episode and major story lines thru the season.

the series shows a lot of interaction between characters and also there is less of scifi tech being mentioned looks like a cross with soap and scifi

The parallels were pretty obvious, although I don’t think the insurgency was necessarily depicted in a positive light so much as a realistic one.
I’ve heard that one reason why some folks don’t want the show picked up by NBC is because this type of screenwriting would be scrutinized/censored much more heavily by the “brass” at a national network.
It’s a great show though.

it is, do you figure baltar is a cylon after 3x06?
the insurgency wasnt positive but it wasnt wholly negative as it would typically be portrayed, and the "collaborators" were definitely negative, as were the cylon occupation forces.

I don’t know about that one. On one hand there are “12 models”, but why would #6 have had to extract the defense codes from him if he was already a Cylon?
I think they’re just setting up his descent into madness that will result in him eventually leading the Cylons.
Any thoughts on other(s) who might be revealed as a Cylon?
BTW, do you live in the bay area?

i havent seen that. i dont know the original’s plot at all.
i would be disappointed if baltar is a cylon actually cause that would eliminate some of the complexity and duality of his character, and instead of making him an anti hero hed just be a plain old villain.
no suspicions about new cylons. maybe the girl who dumped the guy who was the secretary of roselyn and is now with odama’s son, but any characters who played a part in the rescue cant be cylons right else it wouldnt make sense. i think they’ll be mostly new characters with one or two surprises.
