I heard it’s just started showing in the states, us Brits have been watching the show since september … anyway I have to say it’s absolutely amazing..talk about cutting edge and really thought provoking. This is drama at it’s best and it just happens to be sci fi!

Nah its been on since Sept 2004. Are you speaking of the 1970's series? The mini-series or the new TV series they started this year? You guys on 33 and Water or you passed the pilot episodes?

^ Zakk, they just aired first episode this friday in US. Have you noticed the NYPdish way they roll/jerk the camera around? They even do that in the CGI scenes!
Anyway each character seems to have their own demons (which is brilliant). Add in a twisting plot and that mixture becomes good Sci-Fi.
They made starbuck a girl! haha…oh well

Zakk, are you watching Enterprise lately? I think after this series they should just wait for 5-10 years and come out with something new, as the trek saga is at its all time low right now, and enterprise didnt really save the franchise from crashing, as the last movie kinda did that.

its got such a thinly veiled jewish theme. people who have 12 tribes obliterated by a different, new kind of monotheistic quasi-people who believed the earlier people had God's grace but fell from it through their actions. an immense holocaust, and a small group of remnants trying to conserve their identity, fleeing across an expanse to a fabled sanctuary, and a fabled 13th tribe.

I find it very interesting that they use Greek gods and mix in religion/mythos and science. There are very few sci fi novels or tv shows that do that well. Star Gate SG-1 does a pretty bad job.
I think it was mis-titled when they said season finale, becuase in Jan they called it the season premiere but they started from where Ep. 10 left off. I think it was because it was a new year etc.
The series is god and finally someone did a proper assualt jet, though i loved the figthers from Space Above and Beyond, now that is a series that should not have been cancelled.
