Why , oh why we have a battle of sexes going on all around us ?
Men have some strengths and weaknesses associated to the gender and same is true for women. One should not have hatred or feel jealous of the other gender.
People have created lists and lists of gender bashing material. Men have their own lists and women theirs.
The men and women are separate genders we should all accept this fact and then should accept the baggage which comes with each gender.
Why the gender difference has to be a reason for one gender bashing the other gender ?
Re: Battle of the sexes.
For being human; spiritually and emotionally they are 100% equal, but physically they are not! ... both are created to do some similar and some different jobs!
We need to respect each other for not being a man or a woman, but being human!
(Irony: there is a man *in wo*man and hu*man *as well :-D )
Re: Battle of the sexes.
.........but that is mostly commonly seen @ work places and people who're in the same profession and hence competition among them is at it's peak ,no ?
haven't seen it otherwise.
Re: Battle of the sexes.
Competition is always good for progress in any institution, I personally encourage it happen, as a result you get a better product!
Some times some sharp managers do create professional jealousy and competitions among the colleagues to get a best output!
i actually think there is more bashing gogin on within teh sexes..i think women has more hatred and jealousy for other wom en than she does for man generally speaking. everywhere i see it: women is the biggest enemy of women. this is quite sad i believe.
This thread is not about women vs women.![]()
Re: Battle of the sexes.
I have much experience in this department. I worked in trading floor technology where I was one of the only females. It was a really exciting career, one that I dedicated myself to more than 100 percent. And while I worked very hard and was very good at what I did, I was not the BEST. But, when theres a frustrated trader, sometimes it was a good thing to send a smiling and attractive gal to fix the prob with his workstation yeah? I got bigger bonuses, I was given more opportunity. I was actually given a limo ride to work each day (well, the fact that I went in at 4 am had something to do with that) but still. I had an advantage, that of being a gal, a pretty competent one, in a field that consisted mainly of men. Yup, there are definite differences between the sexes and those who try to ignore those differences are yessed to death and treated like yesterday's trash. NEVER did I use the fact that I'm a gal. I did my work, I dedicated myself to it totally. I;ve seen people who yell "I am WO-MAN" or "I am African AMerican!" as loudly and as often as they can but they hit the glass ceiling before their yell is done. Woman OR man....keep your head down, Do your work and do it WELL. Thats how to get ahead. I've seen this time and time and time again.
Re: Battle of the sexes.
umm i think men r women r equal no doubt but there r sum differences in both genders
women r different then men emotionally and men r different than women in this matter too
and there r sum things that cant be changed like nature of both genders
i think god is much more smarter than we r and he kept a balance between both sexes
and i think instead of arguing about it or bashing each other we shud accept the facts that we r different and by different i mean different mentally and emotionally not superior or inferior

Wow! I see your POV ... One thing though, did you ever wonder what would happen if you didn't put as much effort in as you did? It made sense that they would favour you for your hard work, but then deciphering which it was being done would be difficult for you to assess. Did they favour you for your hard work or for your gender or both? And if others would soften to the presence of a woman then why not employ the woman in a 'task' that she will be effective at? As long as they are not asking you to do immoral things then I don't see what the problem could be.
Another thing is that were you competing harder to prove something to them?
Perhaps they deserved it!
