Battery App

So last night I uploaded a few free apps from the Amazon App Store. One of them is this app called Battery.

So when you open the app, you get a list of how much time you have to do certain things. For example, with 87% of charge currently, I have:

  • 15 hours 31 min of Music Playback
  • With WiFi, 6:41 Internet browsing
  • on 3G, 5:24 of talk time

Also,
It will take me 25 mins to fully charge USB, or 16 minutes AC

You can also set custom alerts. Then there’s a graph that shows your usage.

Let’s see how well it works for me. Just wanted to share.

Re: Battery App

I have Battery Dr Saver, which seems to do the same...if you don't like the one you installed, you can try that one.

Re: Battery App

careful coz the battery app will also increase your battery usage. :hypo:

Re: Battery App

When I read this post,I am like NO. :nahi: :hehe:

Re: Battery App

I don't have a battery app - never really felt the need to have one. Maybe I'll check it out and see if its useful.

Oh, I did learn something new though - I didn't know USB takes longer to charge compared to AC.

Re: Battery App

You don't have to have it CDG. The one thing I really like is to know that if I could get 10 mins of charging time, my phone charge would be complete so I could take a short coffee break for 10 mins if I'm out shopping and sit at a Starbucks. Again, it's really not necessary. It's just an accessory or condiment like you can still enjoy daal chawal without achaar but someone like me got to have the mirchi pickle on the side. Then adding kachumbar salad would be even more awesome. Then adding papaR would be totally awesome. And finishing off with some laddoo would be totally totally awesome. See what I'm sayin'?

Re: Battery App

:hehe: Yes, I know thats why I said maybe if I get it I’ll see if its any help or not.

Re: Battery App

The best thing about Android is the Widgets you can use on there. Instead of an app that you have to run every time you want to see the percentage left put a widget on the screen, in a corner. So you’re always upto date.
The weather icons on most Android phones are widgets. In the following screen find how many widgets you can spot

On the first screen:

Calendar
Docs
Settings
Weather/CLock

On the second screen pretty much all are widgets (except bottom row)

Re: Battery App

My dad likes the direct dial - he isn’t very techy so he gets lost when he goes to contacts (with all the options). :hehe:

Re: Battery App

Regarding the coolest widgets, Oh no no, the iPhone people will say: We don't need widgets. We like to simplify our lives. :@:

Re: Battery App

iphone has widgets too, if you swipe down the curtain thingie. mine does weather, calendar, stock quotes, to do list, and a few assorted alerts.

i do like the android calendar widget though. but 90% of other widgets.. just too tacky for my taste.

Re: Battery App

Swipe down that curtain thingie loll!! I like that. You need to get an android Queerino. You belong to this side :D!

Re: Battery App

lately i have only complaints about both sides. -___-
