I liked the movie over all, a good summer flick. Bale and Michael Caine acted very well. However the ending was pretty mediocre and the fight scenes looked repititive. I would love to see the character evolving, like the spider-man, and fighting other bat villians like the joker.
I understand that he is a night warrior and comes out at night time only but with fast action sequences in the dark you don't enjoy it the way you enjoy spider-man and its not as colourful as spider-man either. I hope they do something about it in the sequel.
People complaining about the dark action sequences; the dark sequences definitely made sense. Bale was awesome as always. I can't wait to find who they would pick to play as the next big villain as indicated at the end.
Apart from Bale's voice in his Batman suit, which reminded me of Jim Carey in his "Me, Myself and Irene" schizophrenic-evil-guy-mode, the rest of the movie is fairly decent. The basic premise of the plot is fairly thick, and it really won't matter all that much either if you fail to understand the sinister evil plot hatched by the villains, because you will likely be focusing on the fight scenes. And that reminds me that most fight scenes are filmed from very close angle, so you see a lot of shadows tumbling all over and sound track to suggest a bunch of fists jamming into each other, but will likely not be able to make out who is getting punched.
And my last gripe is not necessarily with this movie alone, but most movies these days are so loud. It may just be the THX effect, but the decibel level of all these action flicks is very high, as if they want to make sure you hear every punch that crashes on villain's jawbones.
I loved it!
Finally a real Batman movie, his batman voice was awful but extremely funny. I didnt really buy the whole "shadow people" thing and kinda figured it was Liam Neeson- who was amazing by the way. I liked the whole character building of Bruce, but the movie was fairly long and so very LOUD. The fight scenes were good, but half the time i couldnt figure out who was beating whom..too fast, the car was ok, the scary masks were nasty...kinda freaked me out a little too. oh and Christain Bale, shirtless amazingly fit, but his smile was not so much, he has the perfect jawline but no lips..strange.

OMG missy! That so fits with what I have said. He is so perfect shirtless, but his smile just doesn't fit in with the rest of his persona, and now that you have pointed out, I know the reason for it.. he really has no lips at all!
just watched the movie...it was awesome finally a real batman movie...the plot was very good and the characterization of batman was excellent....fight scenes were excellent... i'm a gonna watch it again
