brand new building, shiny new appliances, marble floors etc. closet space. 2 bedrooms, 1.5 bath.
now the half bathroom is in the “master” bedroom…and the full bathroom, is…in the KITCHEN!!!
I really feel like finding these ppl who design these spaces and ask them what the hell they’re smoking to design such weird spaces!
And this isnt’ the first time I’m seeing it…it’s just so..ewww!
A few years back, I saw another apt where the entrance to it was placed in a room that if that were to be the living room, the other room would become a bedroom with a kitchen attached to it…if we decided to keep THAT room as a living room (wtih the bedroom) the entrance would be to the bedroom…if im the only one who thinks that’s super weird…!!
PS, I know in many homes in many parts of the country, there is usually a half bathroom in the kitchen…but that’s usually located at least several feet away from the main kitchen area (ie the stove/fridge etc). But never have i seen a full bathroom in the vicinity of a kitchen…
the funny thing is, i bet 90% of westerners (including abcdjis of course :p ) cant even squat fully :D they've lost the range of motion from years of disuse.
Its common in older homes, and the reason is convenience of common plumbing. Yup, the rice that you never eaten and thrown away, and the rice that you have eaten and digested, would be flowing through the same sewerage pipe.
We have an old polish neighborhood, part of the metro we used to live in. All the houses were from 40's and 50's and almost all had kitchen and bathrooms together, which means that no matter where you are in the house, you have to go through the kitchen to enter the bathroom.
