I have a problem and I dont like going to doctors and stuff so I’m hoping someone can help me out over here. The thing is before when I used to have to go to the bathroom to tinkle, I had no problem holding it in for a few minutes… and actually sometimes did that on purpose cuz I liked to (DONT ASK) cuz im just a lil weird like that and now I cant even hold it in for more than 10 seconds. The urgency to tinkle comes so suddenly and seriously if I dont find a bathroom asap, I would probably have an accident
Is this cuz I used to hold it in before for no reason? kidney problems or what?? And can it be fixed??? And please dont give me a bladder control problem diagnosis
any other symptoms? any pain? does it hurt when you go? is your bladder actually full when you have the urge or do you just feel like you have to but hardly end up peeing? is the urine cloudy or discoloured?
holding it in is supposed to strengthen your bladder muscles if anything but then holding it in too long can give you a UTI.
If u have to go more frequently it might be a urinary tract infection for which "ural" and over the counter sachet is easily available. You may have even developed a weak bladder from holding it..there are exercises to imporve it =)
Hayaa- The question to all answers is no. I go and actually go alotttt and its clear.. no pain, nothing at all. If its a UTI, it would burn no? I remember getting a UTI once or twice before and I felt it... it was just so uncomfortable and painful. This is just a sudden urge to go right away.. I dont even get to wait a minute before I feel like its gonna start trickling down my leg if I dont find a toilet :( and ermm yeah this is embarassing but I kinda had almost a mini accident
Do you have any kids? Pregnancy and delivery can cause weakness in that muscle. To strengthen it, do "Kegel" exercises. To do them, you squeeze like you're holding in the pee, hold for a second and release. Do this like 50 times a day. It really helps, after my first one I was leaking all the time, had no control at all over the whole thing. Those exercises fixed me back up.
Alot women don't know how to exercise their pelvic floor/kiegels even though they think they are doing it. I don't know if "holding it before you start is the same..i've been told a kiegl is what you do when you stop midstream that is what you are supposed to do to know how to exercise is HOWEVER...it's not good to stop mid stream b/c of UTI so do this to figure out what you're supposed to do and practice it later...
might also be ovarian cysts...usually happen few days after your periods end......it is not painful if they are tiny......they put pressure on your bladder.
.. i kno wat u mean. I hold it alot too. Its weird i dnt kno why. Im experiencing the same things as u.. I feel like I have no control wat so ever. and ive had a UTI before too(that burns like HELL) so obviously its not that. Try Drinking more water to keep ur kidneys clean and go sit and try to go pee even when u dont have to.. because sometimes it just comes I guess and u didnt even kno u had to go. I’m really glad u asked this cuz im having major issues with that too
