To share or not to share?
Re: Bathroom Manners ...
flushing the toilet but not with half the toilet paper in it since that most likely will clog the toilet, too bad some of my guests do not know that.. i like the toilet using rules idea.. may save me from future flood cleanings...
Re: Bathroom Manners ...
When we were house buying, window in the bathroom was in my must have list. I vetoed many gorgeous houses because of this reason but having proper ventilation in the bathroom and kitchen is very important. Exhaust fans don't work as good. Plus having a window let in sunlight which is a natural disinfectant and prevent mold growth.
Re: Bathroom Manners …
Kind of irrelevant, but I don’t know how it is in the rest of the country/world…but I have seen homes here where a bathroom is INSIDE the kitchen.
What kind of idiot architect designs a living space like that??? ![]()
Re: Bathroom Manners ...
^Yes you are right I have seen those mostly in two stories houses and they are suppose to be powered room meant to be lightly used only. But ya know if you have washroom on first floor your guest won't be running upstairs to use the other one.
Re: Bathroom Manners ...
^ Nope....these were in apartments, a full bathroom inside a full kitchen.
Yeah.
Re: Bathroom Manners ...
Eww, thats gross.
Re: Bathroom Manners ...
I think A is really important. If you can manage to do A, I am pretty sure you won't leave a mess on the actual seat either.
Re: Bathroom Manners …
I once went to see a house, and the kitchen was quite spacious, and there was this door in it. I thought it was a storage room. I opened it and it was the toilet ![]()
The irony was that the choola was right next to that door…
Re: Bathroom Manners ...
Oh let me add a few more...
closing teh bathroom door after you're done using it, and LOCKING it while you're in it!
It's such a huge pet peeve of mine when someone uses the bathroom (esp after #2) and leaves the door open afterwards!!!!!!
I noticed this in offices where I work...the bathrooms are quite small, and evne though ther'es ventilation..the idiots that use it won't close the door after they're done using it!
And, I have no idea why people do not lock the door when they use it. Maybe its just me...but I've always been in habit of always always always locking the door...but on many occasions I've accidentally walked in on someone. strange.

Mods, please make this thread (st)icky
Re: Bathroom Manners ...
I thought picking the seat up after you're done was an essential too. It should be water-less.
