In a bathroom.
In men’s room at some resturaunts or hoteles etc. there is a guy who sits or stand there, watch people use the bathroom and while they are zipping up, here he comes..
..and hands you a paper towel, and a mint candy lol. Then expects tip. ( I mean the little token of money)
This man usually has a corner set to himself, where you cannot reach to paper towel yourself. This person also has many different kind of cologne bottles for someone to use.
Such an annoying experience.

oh acha acha.....well i have experienced it in airport's loo...i mean why do they give u the tissue paper? saabun se haath dhone chahiye.........acha woh wahan tip ke liye khare hotey hain hahaha maine kabhi dehaan hi nahi diya....mujhe lagta tha ke they are there to keep an eye ke koi illegal kaam na kar raha ho....waise maine ek chawani bhi nahi di tip main.
to answer ur intial question....no we dont need them....hum bathroom main apna kaam khud ker saktey hain.

pssstt why do adults needs bathroom attendants? T'is payour ghey!
Bathroom attendants should be made available only for the disabled or for mothers with babies (to help with changing nappies etc.)

Life can be tough - I personally would not be disrespectful of any profession. I am sure they do not necessarily enjoy this job. Keeps food on the table.

^ But no one likes to be looked at or 'heard' :) while using the batroom. No one that I know asks these people to be there during their private acts. It is like coercion and bullying.
