I bathe her daily, but ive read and people have said that twice or 3 times a week is fine. is there anything wrong with doibng it daily? she wont lose any moisture or anything or not will she ? also my mum has a habit of using talcum powder on her body after a bath, ive now read somehwere on the net, that talc should not be used incase they inhale the small particles of the powder…is this dangerous or something…it is the baby talc powder by johnsons…any ideas…
Re: bathing baby, how often?safe to use talcum powder?
I don't know about whether or not it's safe, but I haven't needed to use talcum powder. If you've read that it's unsafe, why use it, unless there is a reason?
We give madam a bath every evening (unless we're out or something). Once or twice a week is fine. She just loves it so much and we enjoy that time with her, since we normally give her the bath together.

u dont need to bath newborns daily, thats what they say in the hospital .. twice a week is enough.
and their skin doesnt need any powder ... nothing .. maybe a message with olive or some good baby oil ...after the bath

I used to bathe my daughters every day They loved it and it was so much fun…then we went through the ritual of maalish and all that. No need for powder.

With my first-born, I used to give her a bath daily.... with the second one, I've started with giving her a bath every other day...... I don't have enough time on my hands :(.

The Jhonson powder is most probably "Baby Corn Starch" and not Talcum Powder. It would say so on the label. The look is similiar to talcum powder though. Talcum powder is unsafe esp for girls but also for boys. Corn Starch is fine. it prevents diaper rash. However, instaed of that you may choose to use petroluem Jelly/ vaseline instead.
