Natasha Khan performs under the name of 'Bats for Lashes'. Her father is called Rehmat Khan who is a professional squash player. She's the niece of squash champion Jahangir Khan.
The band is well known in Britain and has won and been nominated for some of the most prestigious awards. Her album 'Two Suns' is particularly impressive - Kristen Stewart is reportedly a huge fan of hers...hence the Twilight connection. wiki has more info :)
