Basic Arabic: Want to really learn it?

learning a new language or a fereign language can really be very useful.

Arabic is the language to which most Muslims identify as it is the language for many Muslims all over the world.

But, more importantly, Quran is written in Arabic, so wanting to really learn Arabic language becomes a very purposeful occupation.

Here are some of Arabic Phrases with accompanying English Phrases, Arabic Transliterated Phrases and the Arabic Script

Those of you who have learnt Arabic or speak it fluently, as well as write it and read it, how did it take you to learn Arabic? Did anyone learn without joining classes and only through conversational speaking of Arabic?

Most of the time I know the particular arabic word or phrase but it gets jumbled up with farsi :smack:

most of urdu phrases came from farsi

For instance

Riyasat haye Mutahida Amreeka (United states of America)

Baad Az Khuda Bazurg tui
Qissa Mukhtasar

It is difficult to separate farsi and arabic words and fit it back in language of origin.

ok funny incidence a friend was telling me, she was taking in urdu and this dude kept on looking back trying to listen in on her conversation…finally she got irritated and asked him wat the heck was wrong…he asked if she was talking in farsi as he was persian…:cb:
