Israel Bashing
My fellow Muslim brethren,
We have been accusing Israel,Jews and the West for the past 60 years being responsible for the misery we are in today. Some of us claim that we were occupied and we could not accomplish prosperity. Others claim that there was not enough religious freedom and oppression led to our downfall both spiritually,economically and socially. When it comes to list the reasons why muslims have been left behind ridicolously in the race, shamelessly we start naming the cuprites and the unfortunate events which have somewhat shaped our present.
Nonetheless, we have to agree that many of us were given plenty of oppurtunity to prove ourselves. To build ourselves from ground up and prove it to the world that we Muslims, can do something for our people. How did we forget the basic fundamentals of Shariah which force us to do so much for the welfar of our citizens? Islam doesn’t teach us that spiritual knowledge is the only knowledge one has to attain. Physics,Chemistry e.t.c are all Allahs sciences. Did someone other than Allah create those?
In this Surah Allahs talks about Metal and its benefits,
“We sent aforetime Our messengers with clear signs and sent down them the Book and the Balance (of right and wrong), that men may stand forth in justice; and We sent down iron, in which is (material for) Mighty war, as well as many benefits for mankind, that Allah may test who it is that will help, unseen, Him and His messengers: For Allah is Full of strength, exalted in Might (And able to enforce His Will). (The Noble Quran, 57:25)”
According to scholars, this is a sign for us to do research&development and make use of what Allah has provided us with. And for years and years we ignored this knowledge and named it as “kuffars science”.
Today we are bashing Israel for our current state in Palestine and Lebanon. If we look deep into ourselves, we will find some of the obvious reasons to why this is happenning. Look at Lebanon. We fought with Christians for years and then among ourselves(Shia/Sunni) and we accuse Israel. Pakistan, what have they achieved in the past 50 years as an Independent Islamic state. Saudi, what a great use of Nae;ma Allah has given them(oil). Turkey, how did we try our best to eliminate even the last signs of khilafa. Bosnia, how it got surrounded by hungry dogs around it, each having a big brother in ethnicity helping them out except Turkic/Muslim Bosniaks(yet we boast we are billion today). The world has almost forgotten that genocide. And many more we can talk about..
It is so easy to play with our emotions and the most unfortunate thing is that they know it out there. It takes 2 seconds to enrage us. See how weak we became after the 10 year nasty war between Iran and Iraq. Then the Gulf war..
I believe it is about time that we shall forget the differences among us. My personal opinion is that we should make peace where possible and focus on building bridges between our own people and work towards building a better future for our coming generations. Look at Japan, Germany and China… They all rose from nothing and see where they stand today. The main problem with us is that we do not follow Islam completely. We all have become mujtahids and follow are desires more than Allahs commandments. We live psuedo Islamic lives and a beard, cap and miswak becomes the basic fundamental of Islam for us. Apparently, all 3 things can be a good marketing stunt. We lie, we cheat, we entertain arrogance and what not…
In the end, I would like to reiterate how important is Unity to us. There are plenty Ahadeeth on Blessings of Itehad/Unity, yet we don’t even listen to them. Is US killing us in Iraq? No, we are killing ourselves. I hope we all understand how important it is to work on ourselves first and then accuse others.
The other day I heard a man saying, “Israel is making micro-chips and Lebanon makes potato chips. Israel is the second country who has the most # of companies on Nasdaq.” No matter how many excuses we come up with but we have to acknowledge how Israel has built itself in the past 50 years. It is the second country only after the so called Islamic Repub. of Pakistan, which claimed independence in the name of religion. Threatened by 6 borderinig countries continously, they have achieved a name for themselves in the global economy. I am sure many of us will bring in the Foreign Aid point in here…
I hope we learn soon.
May Allah give us hidaya so we may love each other and help each other like Allah has commanded us to.
