Re: Baseball 2005
Bang!! and just like that the Yanks are atop the AL east. 60% of starting rotation on the DL..it just doesn't matter!!!!!!!!!
Re: Baseball 2005
^ Didn't surprise me this at all. I have Yanks winning the AL East division. What Yankees have to be worry is their rotation..is been kinda hit an miss. I mean RJ and Pavano were beast last year - and they have been hardly mention in the list of finest pitchers this year.
Re: Baseball 2005
This has to be the most competitive year of Baseball season I've witnessed, I think in past 3 years where in both leagues, there isn't much a gap in division and wild card leads.
A.L. East and A.L West has been the best divisions by far whereas Wild card in both leagues have seen ups and downs among contenders.
I still think Yankees will wind up winning the A.L wild card. Can't rule out Indians though who aren't getting that much of love but A's have some good young potential that could carry them into the playoffs but I doubt it because of inexperience. Of all three teams, the A's have great bullpen. You just never know.
Angels are still my pick for A.L West, and it looks like Red Sox will win the A.L. East division. It's just too little too late for Yanks to catch'em. The pitching rotation is messed up.
As for National League, the wild card might come down to Marlins or Astros. Astros should win it but their offense that is hit and miss this season. Marlins, like Astros, have a great rotation and bullpen too, and they play hit and run ball game.
Much props for White Sox for such an unbelieveable season. I never saw that coming.
By the end of the season, we will have witnessed a great race for The Hunt of October.
Re: Baseball 2005

Re: Baseball 2005
Anytime Bombastic. :)
For a pitcher you have to mix up your pitches. It's more like a chess game between you and batter who faces you. Just remember, never ever throw a fast ball in the middle of the plate and when the count in 0-2.

Whos Your Daddy!!!!!

Re: Baseball 2005
AL West won by Angels as I predicted.
NL Central won by Cardinals as I predicted.
NL East won by Braves as I predicted.
Yanks are almost there to win AL East division. This upcoming should be a memorable one.
I never thought Indians would be such a good team that plays small, long play to win any games. ChiSox have been really bad lately in the month of Sept.
I was wrong on:
NL West - Padres clinched it.
AL Central - Up for grab. Another exciting series to be play in Cleveland this weekend. Too bad ESPN isn't gonna broadcast one freaking game of the series.
AL Wild Card - Initially I had RedSox, now I want either ChiSox or Tribe. 'nugh of New England!
NL Wild Card: Schedule favors Astros but I hope my Cubbies just ruined their plan this weekend like they did against us last year, thus, making the way for Phillies to clinch the wild card. I would not miss a single chance of PhillyPhanatic dance...:D
Re: Baseball 2005
I don't understand why Ortiz is even being considered for an MVP. It is laughable...the guy is not on the field for 90% of the game. If anyting, Manny should be the candidate from Boston. If I had Manny batting behind me..I would give you 100 RBIs. geddafakoghtaheah!!
Re: Baseball 2005
Talha bhaijaan, pipe dreams seldom come true. Cubbies can go back to obscurity as always for another 100 years. Astros are going to the playoffs and they will meet Cardinals in the NLCS (beating the braves in NLDS again).
Re: Baseball 2005
Yanks up one…three at fenway…going to sunday’s game. It will be wild… Go Yanks. Tonight is the most inportant game. Wells vs. my chinese lotus. :k:
Re: Baseball 2005
C'mon Kaleem bhai, you knew I was messing with ya. Even if it take 1,000 years for Cubs to reach WS, let alone winning it, I'll be the Cubbie, rest assured any die-hard Cubs fan.
...and as I predicted, Yankees win AL East division - their 8th consecutive division championship.
It's down to this. If Red Sox lose and Indians win - one playoff game will be played at Fenway Park on Monday. But if Red Sox win, they will clinched the wild card.
NL wild card has also come down to final game of the season. Phillies would have to beat Nationals and hope Astros lose, so that they can force a playoff game with Houston. Otherwise, technically, Astros have clinched the tie for wild card.
Re: Baseball 2005
Damn you Indians.. chose the wrong time to play bad. ![]()
AL East Division winner: Yankees
AL Central Division winner: White Sox
AL West Division winner: Angels
AL wild card winner: Red Sox
NL East Division winner: Braves
NL Central Division winner: Cardinals
NL West Division winner: Padres
NL wild card winner: Astros
Playoffs begins tomorrow
In American League, the matchups will be…
Yankees at Angels
Red Sox at White Sox
In National League, the matchups will be…
Padres at Cardinals
Astros at Braves
Should be a good postseason…
Re: Baseball 2005
