anyone have a tried and tested recipe for Basbousa (Hareesa)? its an arab dessert…kinda like a semolina cake.

I know what you are talking about. It is delicious but I have always bought store made. I googled a few recipes a couple months ago, thinking to try to make my own. I never got around to it, but it didnt seem too difficult. Maybe just pick one recipe and try it out.

I have been thinking about making this as well. I did a search on GS, and I don’t think anyone has shared any recipe for this.

Which recipe did you follow? I tried the recipe I mentioned above but tweaked it a bit. It turned out a little bit dense. I should have kept the fat and sugar the same :)

I tried the recipe and it came out pretty good.
