What exactly is it ? can we use the normal digital thermometer for it ?

You cannot use the regular digital thermometer. Body basal temp is the temp of your body when you first wake up in the morning. You have to take it at same time everyday first thing in the morning, without getting up from bed. I keep my thermometer on my side table and take it and 6:30 am when i wake up for fajar. By temping, you can tell exactly when you ovulated as your temperature rises after ovulation due to progesterone. I use fertilityfriend.com to record my daily bbt.
