we also used to have lapsii…chamsur kii yaa mahuaa kii! :slight_smile: it’s so yummy…it’s like pasty Halwa…we used to make a well on the lapsii and filled that up with desii ghee…yummy! :slight_smile:

chamsur is a kinda seed…with pulpy coating which swells upon cooking…mahua kii pic hai mere avataar meN…it’s a kinda modified flowers with translucent and juicy petals…it more looks like emotis :slight_smile: they are soo cute:

and andarsa is a sesame seed sticking on small donuts…very small size of donuts…1/5th size of timbits that we ghet in Canada. it’s so yummy!

Where I live here is rain almost 24/7 and 365 days !
So barish is not fun anymore,but is most welcome coz it's Allah SWT rehmat,

And not only pakorey,in Karachi when it was a rainy day,chai was must with pakora.

And it starts like this,everyone loves the rain and wanted to enjoy it,and at the same time if they were hungry,didnt wanted to spend time in cooking,
So pakoras are easy n tasty snackes and everyone loves them.

yes..it's called Tharra...aur bahot strong hotii hai...aksar iske fermentation meN [bootleg sharaab] kuchh gaRbaR ho jaane se [rancid ho jaane se] zehreelii bhii ho jaatii hai aur saikaRoN log mar jaate haiN ise pee kar.

yeh subah jab nikali jaati hai tab isme alcohol nahi hota waqt ke saath yeh ferment hokar iski sharab banti hai
