Bari Eid

So depressing it is for me. Hate going out cuz if i do, i’m sure to have some bakra/baile slaughtering sights. That gives me nightmares. Also, the house(at least the lower portion) smells of meat when the meat is being apportioned. The sight of meat, the spare parts like paye, kaleji nauseates me. Trust me it literally does. :smack:

The only good part is the get together for BBQ. Likethe ambiance-vaguely and softly lit garden, fragrance of burning coals and men working for a change.

Does this eid make u sick too, joing in girls? (I am expecting girls to join in only.. men are what, jangli? Stout hearts oh yes:hypo:)

Re: Bari Eid

Well i live in the UK so have never had to come across any bakray being slaughtered, i reckon if i lived in pakistan or other muslim countries, i'd feel maybe a bit sick at seeing bakray etc slaughtered, but there must be ways to avoid seeing it? aside from stayng in the house i mean? plus i think if id been raised in pakistan, id probably get somewhat used to it.

Re: Bari Eid

Yes men are jangli but your brothers , your father , your grandfather , nobody is a man , right ?
you should think before you type such a profound statement.

Re: Bari Eid

Aaj kal kee musalmaan larkiyaan, nungay putangay Sulman Khan ke jism ko dekh dekh ke bohut kamzor dil kee ho ga'ee hain. There was a time when slaughtering and butchering farm animals was something that ladies used to do, now they cant even stand the sight.

Re: Bari Eid

Exactly 110% agreed.

Same goes about comments about Desi people, Paki people, Desi Aunties, Desi Guys..

You are a ‘desi people’,thats why you are here, Probably somehow related to Pakistan also, your mum also a ‘desi aunty’ for others and same is about the guys as mentioned above..

if you hate all things desi why the hell do you join a forum full of desis??

now coming to the topic..

the stink is kinda bad…but the 'modern day, independent, self-sufficient Girls who want to be equal to men in everything should be brave enough to at least witness it , no??

Re: Bari Eid

I say we desi people should disown Jalpari90

Re: Bari Eid

Wow! You must be really mad at someone today…?

Re: Bari Eid

Well I am mad at many today…:faizy:
from here on GS…that someone is posting in this thread..and no its not the OP.

so u don’t have anything to say about the ‘content’ of my post besides the emotions?

Re: Bari Eid

Hmmm… Well, I do that sometimes, but that’s becuse I was raised in a very different setting. Sure I and my family are what you would call desi, but we have almost nothing in common with a typical desi except our religion. And to tell the truth, our religion Islam is the only thing in my heritage I’m proud of. Just my two cents…

Re: Bari Eid

hmm…so what motivates you to be part of this ‘desi’ community?? since you don’t share anything except religion…?? :hmmm:

Re: Bari Eid

Because I was born in Pakistan.

But mainly bcoz I like pointless discussions over the internet

Re: Bari Eid

Fair enough ..Chalo phir to theek hai.... :D (That means its ok....)

Re: Bari Eid

So you do not like the smell of meat but like BBQ (the smell of burning meat)

Like someone says:

I love animals.

They taste good.

Re: Bari Eid

Mirch u got asome sense of humor dude. Men joke about women all the time. Do they forget they have mother, sisters, grandmother? Or they mean something sick about them? No. Its just a way to joke around. It never is intended to be disrespectful or even targeted towards them. Thanks for ruining it.

Re: Bari Eid

There is nothing like sinking your teeth into raw meat, with the sweet fragrance of flesh, blood and guts all around you. Better yet, just directly bite the neck of a bakra and hold on to it until the jerking and shaking stops. That is normally how I go about qurbani. Gaaarrrrrr I.need.blood.

Re: Bari Eid

OMG some vampire ghost entered janwar:(

Re: Bari Eid

You have not been to slaughter houses, should visit where they slaughter 1000 animal within few hours
