Bargello

Does anyone have experience purchasing bridal wear from Bargello? They seem to have limited pictures, I know sometimes clothing can look different in pictures than in person.

Here is a nice lengha I found. What do you ladies think about Bargello, and the lengha?

Re: Bargello

Bargello copies the designs and the end result would be the same as made by a copier. The fun part is that the site uses the original designer pics to lure in customers saying that they can make a copy 100% as the original.

Then there is Bargello real as well so you get confused as it takes you to Dress Republic.

For eg:

This one from the site is, I think, originally by Saadia Mirza:

Re: Bargello

So Bargello is not a good idea?

Re: Bargello

Nope!

Re: Bargello

What about dress Republic? do the do the same thing, make copies?

What should I do Mahi?

Re: Bargello

Yup, they also make copies so I guess that won't be a good idea, too, I am sorry.

You can contact a GS designer and see whether she can make it or not as it would still be a copy but you know the person who is making it and can share loads of ideas.

Also, you can hunt down the original designer and ask for more photos and quotes.

Re: Bargello

Trevor Castelino is a designer in Karachi who specifically makes western gowns and fusion bridals. You can email him the pic and ask him whether he can create something like that.

Re: Bargello

Bargello, Bargelloreal and dressrepublic are all one and the same. I think Bargello have finally recognised they're garnering a bad reputation and the names Bargelloreal and dressrepublic are somehow being used to fool new clients into trusting them.

Re: Bargello

^Yup, that is quite true. The original Bargello doesn't even have good pics anymore. Bargellp Real is all gaudy and full of newer ones.

Re: Bargello

Thanks Ladies.

Mahi, any information you can provide on designers would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks.

Re: Bargello

I wouldn't personally care who copies who! As long as I get what I want, that's all that matters!

Re: Bargello

My sister ordered an outfit from Bargello and it fell apart (the seams just started unraveling) a couple of months after she bought it.

Bad quality stuff.

Re: Bargello

Wow, I had no idea their stuff was that bad. Ah! Thanks for letting me know! I was thinking of getting my mehndi outfit from them. Well, gotta go shoppinig!

Re: Bargello

I' dont care weather they copy or not I just wanna know wheather they are fraud or not and how is there quality if any one has had experiences.

Re: Bargello

Haha I've always wondered about their quality, but didn't think much of their prices!

If you see reha's post.. She said her sisters outfit fell apart and sas of bad quality.. And theres a thread somewhere where bargello was discussed and they generally have rubbish reviews

Re: Bargello

Is there a similar designer based in Islamabad or Lahore who dose western/fusion bridals? I love the idea of having a dress that is a fusion of western style/cut with some desi kaam on it!
