In my Threads in the Past, i have always mentioned that we need Waqar in the team as a mentor of Sami atleast for next few months. But None of the guppiez agreed with me

For Goodness sake don't put this speed radar up Sami's butt now. We already lost many bowlers due to this disease. Just let him swing, seam and bowl line and length. Down with this speed frenzy.

Are you saying great bowlers like Imran, Wasim, Waqar, who in their prime were very fast bowlers lowered their performance when they bowled fast, mind you the biggest reason they took wickets was because they were fast.
Guys like Shoaib, Sami are good because they are fast.
Umair, dont mix mangoes with kaddoos please. Kahaan Imran, Wasim, Waqar aur kahaan Shoaib. The great trio made it big not bc of speed but for swing, line and length.
The disease got Shoaib, Mohammad Akram, Mohammad Zahid, Shabbir AHmed, and many more.

Shoaib Akhtar is deadly because he is fast, a slow Shoaib Akhtar is the equavilent of Ajit Agarkar. 
Muhammad Zahid in his early part of his career was very fast and took many wickets, and now he is a medium pacer bowls very good line and length but a very ordinary bowler.
Sami is good because he can bowl fast and with good line and length, he doesn’t use the seam very often and he is definitly not a good swinger of the bowl unlike Wasim or Waqar.
PS- Muhammad Akram and Shabbir Ahmed were never fast bowlers.

No doubt Sami has all the ingredients to be a great fast bowler. As far as speed is concerned, yes its very handy to have the kind of speed that Sami has. It has been proven time and again that the lower order batsmen dont play too well when someone is swinging the ball at Sami's pace. I agree speed is not the only thing that made Waqar, Wasim, Shoaib or even Sami succesful but their speed does play a vital role. No matter how much we say Shoaib is ordinar, not in the same class as some other greats, the fact remains in full form and rythum he is as deadly as anyone. Sami and Shoiab has not played enough cricket to be compared to Wasim, Waqar or Imran, give them the due time and lets see what happens.
sami is awesome i watched today's game despite giving away runs he was explosive with the ball..he pretty much had all the batsmen pissing in their pants lol

His second spell and one particular over to micheal vaughan was just a magnifcant sight. He doesnt faceas many injury problems as Shoaib does and he also has time in his hands. Surely He will carry our bowling department in years to come :k:
No other team in the world has two bowlers opening the bowling with 95 mph speeds. Surely they need to miz speed with guile to be more effective but speed is surely their assett
