Re: Bareeze
Shazzy go to Fenwicks or John Lewis you'll find ribbons there. I've seen people putting silver ribbon on their bareeze suits ( really big ones). I'll try posting a picrure of my aunty but i'll have to cut the face off first.
Sajalina ans Same, I"ll take pictures of outfits I brought back with me and post them. I'm alittle slow at these things so don't expect something as soon as tonight ;-)
Shazzyuk, most style I've seen after stiching are so plain and boring. We bought a few pieces from Bareeze (tehy have a discounted rack of peices left over from 'thaans') and this is what we did with them. I dont' have pictures yet since the tailor is still working on them but when I get them, I'll post them. My cousin and I came up with these ideas.
1) Candy pink chiffon with thread embroidery and tiny crystals. Bought silver booti chiffon jamavaar and used that for the bodice. Round neckline with 5-inch slit. Added round crystal buttons on the slit. The rest of teh shirt and sleeves are bareeze material. Used chiffon dupatta that had vertical silver threads. Finished the outfit with silver tissue material and added 1 inch double sided tissue edges on the dupatta.
2) Lilic chiffon with thread and crystal work. Mixed this fabric with chiffon jamavaar (silver booti) and made an anarkali style shirt. So teh kaliyaan and made form bareeze material as well as chiffon jamavaar. Finished with Dark purple and aqua blue jamavaar accents.
3) Grey chiffon with thread and cut-dana. Made a long front-open jacket out of the bareeze matreial. Added a crystal broach to close jacket right under neath the bust, the jacket has a deep V neckline. Added a raw silk slip. Used a vibrant teal jamavaar for the finishing on the jacket and the dupatta.
All outfits have raw silk pants. We used chiffon jamavaar with silver booti to add more oomph to the outfits.
oh naqsa, ur ideas sound gorgoeus. May i know who is ur tailor in karachi if you don't mind :)
Re: Bareeze
Naqsa, sounds gorgeous. Please post pics when they are done.
ShazyUk, that is so pretty. I love that shade of pink.
Re: Bareeze
I know right her designs sound so cool! She's giving me some ideas too, usually I can't think of designs on the spot. I always get mine stitched in the same way.
Re: Bareeze
i like kayseria lawn n their leisure club stuff more coz i think chicken kari stuff is better suited for aunties than girls..i like chinyere too they have nice embroidered culottes n party wear
^ this pattern is very similar to the candy pink outfit I described. With limited resources I’d say you stick to satin ribbons (use the same color as the flowers) and buttons. I’d make a sherwani collar neckline with a slit that goes to the bottom of the bust. I’d add round buttons along the slit, say 12-15 buttons. I saw these on lots of Chinyere outfits. You probably won’t find the fabric ones so you’d have to settle for soemthing like pearls. I’d get a wide ribbon (say 2-inches), fold it and add that to the daaman and edge of the sleeves. Depending on the amount tof fabric you have, I’d do an A-line shirt. If you do an a-line shirt, I’d make wide-legged pants.
Hope it gives you some inspirations!
Re: Bareeze
Same, my tailor is in Bahdrabad. He's locarted in the open market where Agha Dyeing is located. His name is Mushtaq and he is pretty well known. He doesn't budge on price and is kind of slow. But everything fits you like a glove.
Thanks for the appreciation ladies. I hope they turn out as I've imagined them.
I got a baby yellow Bareeze fabric. The shirt & duppata are chiffon baby yellow with silver embroidery on it. The shalwar is baby yellow plain raw silk.
I want to know how to design it. I dont want it to be simple plain stitiching instead some sort of designing. If you have pictures of how you designed it e.g. with a lace, or ribbon or border or A-line shirt or front open shirt etc. I need pictures of ideas

Some people like a bright accent colour with a soft colour. If iw as to make it, I'd add hot pink accents i.e. ribbons, lace...
Another thing that you can do is add velvet edges instead of tissue or satin. Since a-line shirts are the rage, I'd go for that. I'll try to see if I can find pictures to help you.
Re: Bareeze
Naqsa I had a look at the shops and only found ribbon didnt like the range of laces we have available in my area :( look all tacky.. Wish I had them stitched in pakistan but I didnt have any time.. now ive got 3 chiffaun suits and a raw silk pistachio suit just sat there waiting to be stitched.. :(
Re: Bareeze
Shazzy: One of my own suits ribbon with them. I’ve attached a picture so what you could do ( since you live here in the UK) is buy some big ribbon to put on the bottom of the shirt. These days long shirts are in fashion so maybe you could ask tailor the to put ribbon on the bottom of the shirt and on it’s sleeves. I’m not sure if your tailor could do an A line shirt that would look nice too. Hope this helps ![]()
Re: Bareeze
^ thats such a pretty colour and the ribbon works so well with it.. I have 2.5 metres of material and 5 foot tall im hoping I can make an a line kameez out of it.. Do u know where I can buy good quality ribbon in the uk thanks hun x
Re: Bareeze
LOL I told you earlier :p Pop into Fenwicks or James Lewis. They have plenty, if you can't find it ask someone who works there to show you :) You're 5 ft well i'm not sure f you could make an A line with 2.5 metres. OMG! Hang on I have an A line kameez that my tailor managed to make with normal shirt kapra. Once I get home i'll take a pic and PM it to you.
