It was da death anniversary of 1 of our gre8st leaders, Allama Mohammad Iqbal. His approach was so diverse, universal n comprehensive in all respects dat is difficult 2 discuss n analyse by ordinary ppl like m. Humanity, democracy, Ijtehad n knowledge r some of da major areaz he discusses n interprets in his poetry. He believed in Tauheed n Sunnah, da base of Islam, da religion of safety n security. Iqbal was opposed 2 da division of Ummah in da name of geographical frontiers, ethnicity, race, colour or language or due 2 any other reason ( like sub sey pehlay…).Accordin 2 him humanity is identical 2 Islam n 1 cannot search 4 it out of it (Islam).
Iqbal teachez us dat Islam in itself is a destination. da holy Quran has been a permanent source of his inspiration which influenced his thoughts. He had rejected da passive n negative form of mysticism.
Iqbal is some1 who alwayz advocated constant change. He had suggestd dat ‘immortal life’ cannot b achieved widout persistent effortz n struggle. He believed dat v hv 2 launch vigorous struggle against evil powers 2 achieve tis immortal life.
s a matter of fact v r largely devoid of da characteristics of a man of faith (Mard-i-Momin), s envisaged by Iqbal, which cud bring abt a revolution in society. v hv 2 look in2 causes of tis lacuna in ourselves. n far s Ummah is concerned, it’s confrontd wid ever increasin tribulations n hardships…n… he emphasized on jihad… which has become a prohibitd subject theze days. da main cause 4 our sufferin is contradictionz in wat v think n wat v act. Unless v undo these contradictionz, v cannot overcome our difficulties n it’s impossible unless v become **kirdaar k ghaazi **, instead of ghuftaar k ghaazi. There musn’t b any dout dat da present scenario requires dat all da muslimz, in fact all da ‘humans’, should understand n follow da msg of tis gr8 philosopher.
