OK girls how many of you have tried or use the Bre Minerals foundation?
I have purchasd the starter kit today after having tried on the foundation, I liked it alot!!!
It didn’t feel or look caked up, and as it is powder form I will be more inclined to use it more often.
How did you find Bare minerals?

they gave me medium, did not work for me :) so i got the light kit , and mixed the fairly light with medium ( not such a good idea) but light was my shade. its quite yellow based. medium gave my face a tan and the rest of me looked odd. i do wish they would stop basing foundations on if your asian straight to medium, it should be about what sits in with your under tone!!

I have the medium one too, she was recommending the tan for me but after applying a line it seemed too dark. I am going in tomorrow for another trial, this time I will ask her to apply the tan on half my face and medium on the other just for the benefit of the doubt. I can't do anything if I have opened it so don't want to risk making the wrong choice.
That's a good point you made there Sonia, my SIL also bought a kit with me, and she is fairer than I am, but we both have the same kits, :/
Must be as you say how the colour sits with undertones.

I still havn't opened my pack yet, I want to try the darker shade on before doing so , jyust to make sure I bough the right one. I was talking to my SIL and she told me that the kits have only 2gm of foundation in the pots, whereas the seperate ones you can buy have 8 gm of powder. I was wondering, how many applications can I get from 2gms? Maybe it's not worth it, and I should buy the pots seprately :/

see i've had medium, i am typical pakistani shade... not gori chitti but not brown!
get the little pots in the kits to start with... then you'll have all the brushes and then you can buy the bigger pots!
the small pots can last over a month, bigger ones 3months :)
The thing is you need to try wearing the foundation for a few days, this is what i did! when i wore medium everyone asked me if i had been on holiday or why my face was darker than my neck! my brother spent hours laughing at me , i went back to the BM counter in my store and showed them they were laughing too. Regardless of the fact that they recommended medium to me!! i got light, and i have been using it for ever now , its perfect dosent make me look fairer nor darker it looks aue naturalle :) and it gives me a bit of a glow especially at the end of the day!

Sonia your skin colour sounds a bit like mine, I am definately not gori, but not dark either, just a as you put it " typical pakistani shade"...well said!!!!
I went back to the counter today, tried the tan-didn't like it at all. Then had the medium beige and came home like that, shoed my hubby he was like errrrr yes it fine but I won't take HIS word for it as men don't really have a clue.
I like your suggestion of trying the smaller pot and then buying the larger pots seperately when I am comfortable.
You say you are using the light shade, so is that the lightest one they have in the kits?
I am going to another shopping centre tomorrow, I will try again, and see what I do. I am buying it online as I have found a site where I can save a bit, but just need to be sure of the shade first. FOundations are so hard to get right....aarrgghhh!!!!

I like liquid foundations cuz they blend in and give a more moisturized look.

For pakistani skin tone, try luscious... its really good!

Ok so I tried the foundation on yet again, my third trial...tut tut LOL
I am definately inshallah buying the medium beige, it didn't look cakey or fake it was just right.

Light worked for me i am very yellow based! Medium beige looked grey on me :( medium golden gave just my face a tan!
