Dowry isn't always about the guy you know. some parents give stuff to their daughter becoz they love her and want her to have the best start to a new life. I don' find n e thing wrong with it if they choose to give her such things..it's when teh groom's side demands all these things, or parents fret that they wont be able to marry her off w/o proper dowry...
