Samb, whether you like it or not but it is a fact that PCB is responsible for the shambolic state of Pakistan cricket.
Had they managed their players, officials and the whole organization in an orderly manner things could have been in a much better position today. And I am not just talking about PCB under Ejaz Butt but I am talking about the way it has been run over the past several years.
PCB never tried to discipline the players when needed, gave rise to unneccessary player power, hired incompetent staff who enjoyed unlimted powers .They were never able to negotiate fruitful foreign tours for Pakistan. Done absolutely nothing to promote test cricket in Pakistan or to attract local crowd. The fact that Pakistan played their last 5 Test match series 18 years back in 1992 tells you how competent they have been. Got involved into all kinds of financial embezzlements. The list is endless.
An organization like PCB which should ideally be run by corporate and business minded people actually hires upper management staff on the basis of their past cricket credentials rather than their educational background and business and management experience
Have you ever seen any other cricket board making regular headlines for all the wrong reasons? The world gets to hear everything about Pakistan cricket except actual cricket. Is that not enough to understand why people blame PCB for every cricket related irregularity in Pakistan.
